Create and design your very own Steam Controller

In a bit of an unexpected announcement Valve have released the mechanical CAD geometry for the Steam Controller, so if you ever wanted to make accessories or variations, now's your chance.

In order to help you get a hang of the concept Valve have also released their design for two variants of the Battery Door that allows you to carry your USB wireless receiver with you.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is releasing on April 21st

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will be docking in to Steam's space-port on April 21st, and after extensively playing the beta by crushing everything in Khorne's bloody name, I can only utter this simple phrase: I can't wait!

In order to celebrate this announcement the developers will be adding Orks to the beta in the near future, but until then here's a trailer full of battle-hungry Orks doing their best attempt at "singing":

Frictional Games are working on two new games!

[Update]: Frictional Games have now begun teasing their next game, though the exact details are still few and far between.

Its not often that developers decide to share their thoughts and statistics after a game's release, but when they do the resulting article is always a fascinating read.

The same applies to Frictional and their latest Sci-Fi horror, SOMA, which is currently well on its way towards becoming profitable, yet not quite the smash hit Frictional expected after the success of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. You can read the full post on the Frictional blog, but if you're just looking for a short summary, here it is:

Quantum Break PC graphical options have been detailed

The PC system requirements for Quantum Break were released a month ago, and with the minimum being set at a rather pricey combo of i5 CPU & Nvidia GTX 760 GPU many were curious about how extensively they could customize the graphical settings in order to find that perfect ratio between performance and prettiness.

While there is still no word on the ability to control VSync, the rest of the options seem fairly good, with plenty of shadow and lighting related nobs to twist and turn in an effort to increase FPS. Here are the images Remedy sent out today, just slightly darkened by me so you can actually see something:

Medal Of Honor: Pacific Assault is "on the house"

While its an outstanding idea for Origin to offer free games in order to entice people to join their service, I'm still puzzled on why they haven't worked on expanding their mostly EA-centric catalog so that they can be an actual competitor to Steam, and not just "that" place you have to go to for your Battlefield fix.

Either way, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault is currently "on the house", and as far as memory serves, its a rather good game. Here's the trailer and a reminder of how far graphics have come the past decade:

Killer Instinct Season 3 is coming March 29th

With the March 29th release of Killer Instinct Season 3 fast approaching, the developers have unleashed all of the detailed on the various Season 3 bundles.

If you're simply interested in the gameplay and don't give a flying battletoad about the skins, Season 3 will set you back $20, with the same price being for the Windows 10 and Xbox One versions. Here's the full list of bundles, their contents and pricing:

Prison Architect Update 5 brings massive performance increase

A mere three weeks after Update 4, the Prison Architect developers are back again with a brand new patch, this one quite possibly being the most important update to date as it brings significant performance improvements to a game that could chug like a choo-choo train when you start building big.

Aside from performance increases, Update 5 also expands upon the recently implemented heating system through the addition of hot-water pipes and boilers, as well as the super-secret 3D mode. Here's the developer video, and if you're not up for some banter feel free to just skip to around 8 minutes:

Overwatch beta update brings new map, weekly brawls and more

You know what sucks more than not being invited in to any of the closed Overwatch beta tests? Constantly hearing about all the nifty changes and content the beta updates bring with them, content we won't be able to access until the open beta in May.

Since misery loves company, allow me to give you an overview of the most recent update which brought with it a new map, weekly brawls, match highlights and numerous fixes and balance improvements:

Dark Souls 3 launch trailer has been released

Its funny how all of this started. Back when I first saw Dark Souls at my friend's house I vowed I would never play such an imbalanced and unfair game, yet a couple of years later and here we are, I'm practically frothing at the mouth while waiting for Dark Souls 3 to destroy me... I might have issues.

It doesn't help that Fromsoftware have started to release a steady stream of Dark Souls 3 information, today in the form of a brand new trailer which showcases some of the more interesting boss designs out there, and also a giant enemy crab! Have a look:

Payday 2 is now on Steam OS and free until the end of March

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Payday 2. On one hand its an excellent game in which I've invested over 100 hours falling of various buildings and getting tased, but on the other its a constantly repeating cycle of great DLC practices followed by utterly despicable ones, with seemingly no middle ground.

While I might have some issues with it, its still great to hear that Payday 2 is now available on SteamOS, and most importantly, given to you for free if you already own it on the PC.
