In an announcement that was accompanied by surprisingly little fanfare, Sega has now unleashed The Judgment Collection onto PC. The collection brings with it the original action-adventure Judgement, its sequel Lost Judgement, as well as the sequel's story-focused expansion The Kaito Files.
The whole package will set you back ~99€ thanks to a 24% discount, while individually Judgement is 40€, Lost Judgement 60€ and The Kaito Files expansion 30€. Needless to say the whole collection is a bit pricey, but if you're a fan of the Yakuza studio's rather iconic blend of gameplay, storytelling and humor, it might just be worth the trouble.

[Update]: If you're in a retro FPS mood, it's well worth mentioning that the Blood inspired Cultic has now landed onto Steam alongside some highly positive reviews.
If oldschool FPS games are your jam, boy do I have a treat for you! Rise of the Triad, a true classic that has already been enjoying a small resurgence, is now not only getting an HD remaster, but also a fair bit of new content as well!
Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition will bring with it all of the original Rise of the Triad episodes and expansion packs, support for 4K and ultrawide resolutions, uncapped framerate, along with improved art and cutscenes. And just in case one soundtrack isn't enough, the Ludicrous Edition will also come with both the original and the reboot's scores.

In announcement that came seemingly out of nowhere, Konami has just revealed that they are working on an HD remaster of two classic JRPGs - Suikoden I and II. Besides an absurdly long title, Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will bring with it improved background illustrations, enhanced special effects, as well as an assortment of new environmental sounds to help with immersion.
You can also expect to see the ability to fast forward in battles, an auto-save feature to help prevent any sort of costly mistakes, along with a conversation log to better keep track of things. What all of this looks like in action, however, that you can get a little bit of a sneak peek at through the trailer below. Have a gander:

It took nearly fifteen years for us to get there, but the highly ambitious 4X strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire is now finally getting a chunky new sequel. The appropriately titled Sins of a Solar Empire 2 will once again bring with it three unique factions, though the differences between them will be far greater than before as each one will come with a variety of special gameplay mechanics, new and reimagined units, extensive tech trees, and even a bunch of sub-factions.
Similarly, the combat side of things will be instantly familiar to veterans, though once again there will be a plethora of new features, mechanics and customization options to play around with in order to get the edge over your opponents. The details are unfortunately still shrouded in mystery, but what I can tell you is that Sins of a Solar Empire 2 will support multiplayer matches with up to ten human or AI players, along with the ability to seamlessly join games in progress as well as save things once you all need a break.

[Update]: Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has now landed onto PC, though sadly alongside some technical troubles.
After a whole bunch of rumors and teasers, the PC version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has now finally received an actual release date. You can expect to see it arrive via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 19th, 2022.
While the name might imply that the collection brings with it the entire Uncharted series, it's actually just the remastered versions of the latest two games: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and its standalone expansion Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. It's still a fair bit of content to go through so length is by no means an issue, but I just wanted to make this nice and clear.

[Update #2]: Deep Rock Galactic devs have shared an infographic with some truly impressive stats for 2022.
[Update]: Deep Rock Galactic's Season 3 - Plaguefall update has added fancy new grenades, enemy variants and mission objectives.
Deep Rock Galactic's chunky Season 3 update will be launching on November 3rd for PC, while consoles will be getting it after a small delay, on November 17th. So in order to help pass the time until the update arrives, the Deep Rock Galactic team has now unleashed the Oktoberfest 2022 event!
As you might imagine from the name alone, Oktoberfest brings with it an assortment of beer and sausage related paraphernalia, as well as lucrative new missions to undertake. The big reward at the end, as is tradition, is going to be a pair of garish, oversized and completely ridiculous hats - the perfect headgear to use while exploding your way through hordes of bugs!

In a bit of an unusual, though certainly not unwelcome departure from the norm, the freshly released Metal: Hellsinger is a curious combination of heavy metal, a rhythm game and a Doom-style FPS! The most exciting thing about it all is the simple fact that the music adapts to your gameplay. The more in sync you are with the rhythm, the more intense and aggressive the music will get, and the more devastation you'll be able to cause. So in a way it's kind of like of like Guitar Hero, just with more exploding demons!
What all of this nonsense looks like in actual gameplay, and more importantly what it sounds like, that you can check out through the launch trailer below. Have a gander, it's quite the experience:

While not quite as exciting as the recent patch that made Fall Guys free-to-play and added both cross-play and cross-platform progression, the Season 2: Satellite Scramble update has now arrived with a bunch of new content in tow. Expect to see a variety of new space-themed levels and challenges to overcome, fancy new cosmetics, as well as a brand new Battle Pass.
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted gameplay trailer. It'll give you a pretty good impression of what the new cosmetics and levels are really all about. Have a gander:

[Update]: Right on cue, the base version of The Sims 4 is now entirely free-to-play on both PC and consoles.
If you're in the mood for developing an irregular sleep schedule, you'll be happy to hear that EA is going to be making the base version of The Sims 4 free-to-play. Starting from October 18th, The Sims 4 will be fully free to download and play on both PC and consoles.
The one catch, as you might imagine, is that the numerous expansions will remain a paid purchase. So if you're looking to grab the entirety of The Sims 4, it's still going to set you back a fair bit of money, even if the base game is entirely free.

[Update #2]: My Overwatch 2 review is now out, and to put it simply it's a terrible sequel, though thankfully a terrific game!
[Update]: Blizzard has now detailed the fox themed support Kiriko's abilities, playstyle and lore. Additionally, the Overwatch 2 team has also unveiled all of the new balance changes coming with the October 4th launch.
Unlike the original, Overwatch 2 will be a free-to-play game. As such, the monetization is going to be a bit different than before. So instead of digging for them through loot boxes, most skins will be available for purchase through the in-game store.
Additionally, there will be a genre-standard Battle Pass that comes in both free and paid flavors. The free track will offer a variety of minor cosmetics like name cards, sprays, charms and victory poses, along with a couple epic skins to help spice things up. Most importantly, level 55 on the free Battle Pass will also give you access to the newest hero, in this case the fox themed support Kiriko.
