Halo Infinite artwork showing off the Forge toolkit

According to the September developer update, Halo Infinite's co-op campaign and Forge editor will be launching on November 8th. Unfortunately, the previously announced split-screen co-op option has been canceled entirely as 343 Industries simply don't have the time or resources to work on it.

Out of the two upcoming features, however, the Forge editor is by far the most exciting one as it offers players the ability to create their very own maps, rework or tweak weapons and vehicles, as well as create entirely new game modes for everyone to mess around with. It's going to be a remarkably powerful tool, and unsurprisingly, one that will take a fair bit of tinkering and experimentation before you can truly master it.

Metal: Hellsinger artwork and logo for the heavy metal influenced first-person shooter

[Update]: Metal: Hellsinger has now been unleashed, and I'm happy to say it's enjoying a highly positive reception so far.

If you're in the mood for a bit of an unusual combination of genres, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Metal: Hellsinger. It's essentially a heavy metal infused first-person shooter where everything is done to the beat of the music. So kind of like a rhythm game, just a lot more murderous.

Things get even more interesting when you consider that the music adapts to your gameplay. The more in sync you are with the rhythm, the more intense and aggressive the music will become, and the more destruction you'll be able to unleash upon your demonic foes! Needless to say, that is a really cool idea!

Fall Guys official artwork for Season 2: Satellite Scramble update

[Update]: Fall Guys' Season 2 has now arrived, and so far it looks like the new challenges are fairly simple to complete.

As a part of the June 2022 update, Fall Guys went free-to-play whilst leaving Steam in favor of the Epic Games Store. The re-branded Season 1 update also brought with it a variety of new maps and costumes to play around with it, as well as both cross-play and cross-platform progression.

While the upcoming Season 2: Satellite Scramble update doesn't have the same amount of bombastic new features to offer, you'll be happy to hear that it will still add an assortment of new space-themed maps and skins, a brand new Battle Pass, as well as the Satellite Explorers event that'll bring with it even more cosmetics to collect.

Funcom's new survival focused open world MMO Dune: Awakening artwork and logo

In a bit of an unexpected announcement Funcom, the studio behind Conan Exiles and MMOs like The Secret World and Anarchy Online, have recently revealed that they're working on a brand new MMO set within the Dune universe! While the gameplay details are still few and far between, Dune: Awakening will be an open world and survival focused MMO that will have thousands of players squabbling over every inch and resource found on the planet of Arrakis.

Besides being able to create your very own fortress, the most exciting part of Dune: Awakening will be the coriolis storms that will be capable of shifting the sands and altering the landscape. How exactly that will work in terms of gameplay, I'm afraid nobody outside of Funcom currently knows, but having large-scale dynamic events is a great way to shake up the game and get players into conflict with each other, so I'm cautiously optimistic about the whole idea.

Ravenbound open-world action-roguelike with Souls-like elements artwork and logo

[Update]: Ravenbound will be heading into Closed Beta on September 29th, and the whole test will run until October 13th.

After spending a fair few years pitting players against murderous robots, Generation Zero studio Systemic Reaction is now working on something a little bit different. The freshly announced Ravenbound will be a challenging open world action-roguelite set in an universe heavily inspired by Norse mythology.

While the combat will be done in Souls-like fashion with plenty of dodging and timing when to attack the significantly stronger enemies, the actual character progression will be done through the use of cards. Each time your character dies you'll be able to expand your deck by selecting a powerful piece of gear, a new magic spell or whatever else tickles your fancy. As such, each new character will be slightly better prepared to tackle the many challenges... provided they live long enough to draw the cards and unlock their powers anyway!

Assassin's Creed Codename RED stealth-adventure set in feudal Japan

While the big reveal of Assassin's Creed Mirage dominated the Assassin's Creed segment of the recent Ubisoft Forward show, Ubisoft also released some exciting teasers for a couple of games and projects that are still a ways away. First and foremost, Ubisoft Quebec (makers of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Syndicate) are currently hard at work on the next big open-world Assassin's Creed game. Best of all, this new Assassin's Creed Codename RED will be taking place in a heavily requested setting - feudal Japan!

While the details are basically nonexistent, you can get a tiny, tiny sneak peek at what Assassin's Creed Codename RED has to offer through the teaser below. Have a gander:

Assassin's Creed Mirage stealth adventure artwork with logo

[Update]: Ubisoft is working on an Assassin's Creed game set in feudal Japan, and another with a much darker tone.

If you're not the biggest fan of the direction the Assassin's Creed series has taken over the past few years, what with all of focus on action and mythical monsters, you'll be pleased to hear that the upcoming Assassin's Creed Mirage will be toning things down quite significantly. Heavily inspired by the original game, Assassin's Creed Mirage will have you sneak, stab and parkour your way through the streets of Baghdad as you attempt to complete a variety of (you guessed it) classic assassination missions.

What might come as bit of a surprise, however, is that the main character will be Basim whom you might recognize from Assassin's Creed Valhalla. What his story is about, as well as what sort of tone Assassin's Creed Mirage is going for, that you can get a bit of a sneak peek at through the cinematic trailer below. Have a gander:

Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime inspired update 1.6 artwork

[Update]: CD Projekt Red has announced that there is a new Cyberpunk 2077 sequel in the works, along with numerous new Witcher games and even a brand new IP!

In order to get everyone hyped up for the upcoming Edgerunners anime, as well as the very first expansion Phantom Liberty, the Cyberpunk 2077 team has now unleashed Update 1.6 - Edgerunners. It brings with it a couple of new secrets and Easter eggs based on the Edgerunners anime, eleven new weapons to toy around with, a whole host of balance fixes and general improvements, as well as the long-requested addition of cross-progression that allows you to continue playing on your save file regardless of platform.

Most importantly, at least as far as character customization is concerned, Update 1.6 has also brought with it the Wardrobe/transmog system. This handy new feature essentially gives you the ability to change your appearance without messing up your armor stats. So if you want to go through Cyberpunk 2077 looking like you're dressed for a night out while actually sporting the sturdiest armor money can possibly buy, you can now do exactly that!

Steelrising Greedfall studio's soulslike action RPG artwork and logo

In a bit of a divergence from the usual Souls-like setting, the freshly released Steelrising is a challenging action-RPG set in alternate history version of the French Revolution where Louis XVI has somehow managed to surround himself with an army of murderous automatons. Your role, as you might imagine given the genre, will be to slice, dodge and parry your way through the seemingly endless robotic hordes in an effort to put an end to the madness.

What all of this looks like in action, as well as what sort of atmosphere Steelrising is going for, that you can get a pretty good impression of through two of the recent trailers. Have a gander, starting with the freshly posted launch trailer:

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty very first expansion artwork

[Update #2]: CD Projekt Red has announced that there is a new Cyberpunk 2077 sequel in the works, along with numerous new Witcher games and even a brand new IP!

[Update]: Cyberpunk 2077's Edgerunners Patch 1.6 has added cross-platform progression, outfit customization and more.

In an announcement that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise given that CD Projekt Red has been teasing it for quite a few months now, the Cyberpunk 2077 team has now unveiled a brand new expansion - Phantom Liberty. The details are still few and far between, but what I can tell you is that Phantom Liberty's storyline will have you join the New United States of America and that it will take place during the mid to endgame portion of the main campaign.

In terms of gameplay, you can expect to see brand new locations within Night City, new weapons and other fun toys to play around with, as well as a new cast of characters to annoy. Most interestingly, Keanu Reeves will also be reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand!
