In announcement that came seemingly out of nowhere, Konami has just revealed that they are working on an HD remaster of two classic JRPGs - Suikoden I and II. Besides an absurdly long title, Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will bring with it improved background illustrations, enhanced special effects, as well as an assortment of new environmental sounds to help with immersion.

You can also expect to see the ability to fast forward in battles, an auto-save feature to help prevent any sort of costly mistakes, along with a conversation log to better keep track of things. What all of this looks like in action, however, that you can get a little bit of a sneak peek at through the trailer below. Have a gander:

No exact release date has been announced just yet, but you can expect the Suikoden I&II HD Remaster to arrive at some point in 2023. As for the launch platforms, the remaster will heading over to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
