Overwatch Horizon Lunar Colony screenshot of the Earth

After being on the PTR for what feels like forever, Overwatch's Horizon Lunar Colony map has now finally arrived to the live servers as well. Besides an expedition to the Moon the update has also brought with it some extremely nice buffs to McCree and Reaper, but also a devastating nerf to Roahog.

If you would like to read all of the minor changes and bug fixes you will find what you seek on the official website, but if you're just interested in the major adjustments here are all of the hero-related patch notes:

If you're thinking about doing a second playthrough of XCOM 2 you might want to put it on hold for a little while as Firaxis has recently announced a massive expansion. The War of the Chosen expansion is aiming to greatly extend the original story, while also adding three new resistance factions, new enemies, missions, environments, and plenty of new toys to play around with.

While the announcement trailer barely offers a glimpse at some of the new enemies and weapons, it does a really good job of showcasing The Chosen and the overall direction the story is heading in. So if you're up for a little sneak peek you'll find the trailer right below:

Hitman screenshot from the Marakesh zone

Hitman has been available for quite a while now, but if there are any among you that have never given it an honest try you'll be glad to hear that you now have the ability to do just that. By simply heading over to the official website you can try out Hitman's very first location for free on all three platforms.

The ICA Facility brings with it "absolutely everything" you might expect from the full version: two story missions and all of their cut-scenes, two Escalation Contracts, more than 40 challenges, a bunch of achievements and trophies, as well as all of the player-created missions in Contracts Mode. This is essentially a tutorial level and as such its a bit less complex than the areas that come after it, but it will still give you a good idea of what Hitman is all about.

Agony game screenshot and logo

Agony is an upcoming survival-horror game set in one of the most fitting locations for the genre - an extremely twisted version of hell that greatly reminds me of Warhammer 40,000's Warp. Given the rather... unique circumstances you won't be punching trees and hunting animals in order to survive through Agony. Instead you will need to sneak around hell itself, posses lesser demons in order to bypass obstacles and potential foes, and somehow try to keep your sanity intact despite all of the madness that constantly swirls around you.

If you're wondering what this might look like in gameplay terms, wonder no more as the developers have recently posted a rather lengthy gameplay video. Its about as confusing and twisted as you would expect, but it should give you a good idea of what you're getting into with Agony. Have a look:

Overwatch's Horizon Lunar Colony map screenshot

[Update 2]: The Horizon Lunar Colony map and its accompanying balance changes have now arrived to the live servers. The Roadhog nerfs have not been reverted.

[Update 1]: Turns out Horizon Lunar Colony will be a part of the competitive rotation from the moment it releases. I'd highly recommend avoiding competitive play for a few days after it arrives as its going to be an absolute mess. Its a real shame that after a year of Overwatch Blizzard is still making these basic mistakes.

When Blizzard first introduced Eichenwalde things didn't go exactly as planned, and that is putting it lightly. Not only did the map have some unfortunate bugs, but it was also completely new to the vast majority of the competitive playerbase. In other words, every time Eichenwalde would pop up in the competitive queue you would have 12 players running around like headless chickens, desperately trying to figure out a map they've only just seen for the first time.

Thankfully, this sort of madness will not be the case for the upcoming Horizon Lunar Colony. As announced by Overwatch's Bill Warnecke, the Horizon Lunar Colony map will remain locked away from Competitive Play for a week. This, combined with its appearance as a brand new Arcade 'game mode', should be enough to get everyone on the same page before Competitive Play gets launched to the Moon.

[Update]: Darkest Dungeon 2 is heading into Early Access on October 26, 2021

After a variety of notable updates it is finally time for Darkest Dungeon to receive its first bit of major content - The Crimson Court expansion. The Crimson Court brings with it a new hero class, an entirely new dungeon region named The Courtyard, a whole bunch of new enemies and bosses, 10 new buildings to improve in your Hamlet, as well as even bigger dungeons to delve in search of extremely powerful set items.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in-game, wonder no more as the developers have just released the launch trailer. It doesn't feature much in terms of straight-up gameplay, but it will give you a good idea of what to expect from The Crimson Court. Have a look:

Pathfinder Adventures screenshot of a mercenary

After being available on mobile platforms for quite a while now, Obsidian's card game and RPG hybrid Pathfinder Adventures has made its way to the PC as well. As you might expect given its influence Pathfinder Adventures is all about developing your party, acquiring loot, and beating the ever-living daylight out of anything or anyone that dares stand between you and your shinies.

On first glance it might seems like Pathfinder Adventures is yet another card game designed to compete with Hearthstone, but in reality its more of a standard RPG spiced up with card game mechanics. If you're wondering how exactly this might look like in gameplay terms, here's an extremely lengthy tutorial and Q&A video from Obsidian themselves. It should give you a pretty damn good idea of what sort of game you're getting yourself into:

The Elder Scrolls: Legends - Heroes of Skyrim expansion artwork for a troll attack

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is Bethesda's digital card game that has slowly but surely managed to carve its own niche among extremely heavy competition. After finally being released on Steam two weeks ago The Elder Scrolls: Legends is preparing for yet another massive event - the upcoming release of the Heroes of Skyrim expansion.

As you might expect from a card game expansion, Heroes of Skyrim will bring with it 150 new cards filled with brand new mechanics, powerful abilities, and perhaps most interestingly of all, some of the most iconic shouts and companions from Skyrim itself. So if you ever wanted to constantly shout at your opponent throughout the match, well... soon you'll be able to do just that!

Fallout 4 VR screenshot of a battle against a Deathclaw

Unlike Doom VFR which is being created from the ground up with VR headsets in mind, Fallout 4 VR will be a reworked version of the standard game. In order to avoid some of the obvious problems Bethesda will be redesigning the combat, crafting, and building systems to better fit with the VR style of gameplay. Most notably, you will now have a choice between aiming with V.A.T.S. and aiming with your own two hands!

If you're interested in seeing what this might look like in-game you'll find the recently posted teaser trailer right below. Just bear in mind that a standard trailer will never truly capture the VR experience, so take everything you see with a few grains of salt as it'll be noticeably different when you're looking at it through a headset. Here's the video:

Code Vein screenshot of a giant monster

The Dark Souls series may have ended, but its unique take on strategy and difficulty has given rise to an entirely new genre of action games. One such game is the recently announced Code Vein, a combat focused RPG that revolves around exploring a collapsed world and fighting a constant stream of challenging monsters.

As you'll see in the gameplay video below its obviously not a Dark Souls clone, but there is enough of its influence present to make it rather intriguing for fans such as me. So if you're curious about what Code Vein is all about, here's the recently posted E3 trailer:
