While its multiplayer may be a bit on the generic side, Doom's singleplayer campaign was a pure pleasure to blaze through. As such, it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that id Software will be creating a VR version of Doom, titled simply as Doom VFR. Right now it has only been announced for the PSVR and Vive, but if it ends up selling well chances are it'll appear on the Rift at some point in the future as well.
Since it was only just announced the details are a bit shaky, but what I can tell you is that its being designed to replicate Doom's gameplay as closely as possible. In other words, expect to fight against ridiculous amounts of enemies at once, constantly move around in order to dodge enemy projectiles, and naturally, teleport all over the place in order to dismember any demon dumb enough to stand in front of you.
Since there really isn't much else to say at this point, allow me to send you off with the recently posted reveal trailer. It will give you a pretty damn good idea of what Doom VFR is all about. Enjoy!
