If you've mastered Kingdom Come: Deliverance and you're looking for an additional challenge, or if you're just a fan of hardcore games in general, you might want to check out the latest 1.6 update. Besides the usual batch of bug fixes, the update has added a new Hardcore Mode where you will need to pay close attention to your health, stamina, energy, nourishment, location, and even permanent negative effects!
That last part might just be the most intriguing aspect of this new game mode as you will have to choose at least two negative perks before starting up your playthrough. These 'perks' can be things like nightmares that cause you to suffer from a short-term debuff after waking up, conditions like hemophilia that make you bleed a lot more profusely, or even something as benign as claustrophobia which makes your attacks clumsier while using the helmet visor. All of these are relatively small effects, but when it comes to spicing up an already difficulty game, I do believe they will do their job quite admirably!

While Sombra has been changed time and time again, she has never really managed to find her place in the Overwatch competitive scene. With that in mind, I'm sure it won't come as much of a surprise to hear that Blizzard is currently working on rebalancing almost every aspect of Sombra's kit.
What might come as a bit of a surprise, however, is that their current iteration of Sombra includes permanent Stealth and a Translocator that does not fade away with time! The Stealth movement speed bonus has been reduced to 50% from 75% and you can no longer contest objectives while invisible, but that's pretty much the only limitation you'll have if this goes through.
Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom's latest update has introduced two new and harder difficulty settings

While Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is a charming and fairly enjoyable RPG, it's also unfortunately so easy that veteran players will find very little challenge in it. This goes doubly so for players with a penchant for exploration as solving all of the various side-quests will leave you absurdly overpowered for all of the main content.
With that in mind, I am very glad to say that the latest update has brought in some highly requested new difficulty settings: Hard and Expert. As you might expect, the higher you crank up the difficulty, the harder the battles will be. In order to spice things up a bit more, however, the harder difficulty modes will not only increase the drop chance of rare items, but they will also give you access to accessories with two skill rather than the usual one!

After spending quite a bit of time on the PTR, one of Overwatch's most anticipated updates has now finally arrived onto the live servers. It brings with it a greatly reworked Symmetra that's bound to cause a meta-shift or two, a significantly updated Horizon Lunar Colony that will hopefully be less attacker-sided, and perhaps most importantly of all, a brand new Looking For Group and Endorsement system!
If you're just looking for a quick summary and you don't mind figuring out the details on your own, you should check out the most recent trailer down below. It's a fairly short video, but it should get you up to speed quite nicely. Have a look:

[Update]: Bad news, I'm afraid. Creative Assembly's multiplayer extraction shooter Hyenas has been canceled alongside a few more projects.
While most of Creative Assembly is busy working on the various Total War titles, the Alien: Isolation team has been strangely silent despite creating a rather beloved game. The latter part has unfortunately still not changed, but I am glad to announce that the Alien: Isolation team is currently working on a mysterious new First Person Tactical Shooter!
This information comes to us from a job listing over at the Creative Assembly website, though as you can probably imagine, it doesn't actually shed much light on the game itself. The only thing I can really tell you is that it will most likely be available on PC and consoles given that the job listing quite clearly states this is for the "Console Team".

After a bit of a delay, Guild Wars 2's Living World Season 4: Episode 3 - Long Live the Lich has now finally made its way to the live servers. While its full title might be absurdly long, the update more than makes up for it in terms of pure content. There's a new chapter of the currently ongoing Living World storyline, an expansive new map to explore and pillage, a new legendary item to craft, and most importantly of all, a rather speedy Roller Beetle mount to acquire!
If you would like a little bit of a sneak peek at what the Long Live the Lich update brings to the table, you'll find the recently posted trailer right below. It's fairly short, but I'd say it's well worth checking out, if for no other reason than the new beetle mount. Have a gander:

While Mojang's Scrolls brought with it a rather interesting take on the online card game formula, it unfortunately never managed to gather enough of a following to warrant continuous development. All of this eventually culminated with Mojang shutting down the servers earlier this year, though not before promising they'll try and release the server software to the public.
Very little has been heard about Scrolls since then, but it would appear that Mojang was successful as the community-run Caller's Bane has now arisen as a the game's successor! As expected, it is exactly the same game as before, though due to the server package now being public it is entirely possible to rebalance cards, change some of the rules, and even add new trials. Whether you want to actually use any of these new tweaks, that is entirely up to you and the people you decide to play with.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition is set to arrive this August, bringing with it an absolute ton of improvements. First and foremost, the Enhanced Edition will come with a much better tutorial that will slowly ease players into all of the various gameplay mechanics, combos and environmental manipulations. Perhaps most importantly, at least for those that are in it for the story above everything else, there will be a new and easier difficulty mode to choose from.
If you prefer a bit of a challenge, however, you'll be glad to hear that a lot of the encounters will be getting reworked in order to be a bit trickier to solve. You can also expect to see a bunch of new encounters, a far more balanced gold/xp curve from Act 2 and onward, as well as some much-needed performance improvements for both console and PC.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is an upcoming video game adaptation of the 'Mutant' pen & paper RPG that has been around since the 1980s. The premise, as you might expect, is fairly simple - Humanity has managed to nuke itself into oblivion, thus leaving the planet populated by Mutants (deformed humans and animals alike), killer-robots, and plenty of ruins to loot for resources.
When it comes to gameplay, Mutant Year Zero is a mixture of turn-based combat and real-time exploration, along with some stealth thrown in for good measure. In other words, you'll be able to freely roam across the world and explore at your leisure, scavenge resources and talk to some rather colorful characters, and if you ever end up in battle you will find yourself in a turn-based combat system that is very reminiscent of XCOM. While the recently posted trailer won't give you much more in terms of details, it will at least give you an idea of what most of this looks like in-game. Have a gander:

[Update]: Friday the 13th: The Game's very final update has now removed Dedicated Servers.
If you're a fan of Friday the 13th's asymmetrical multiplayer and completely over-the-top kill animations, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. Due to the ongoing efforts for the original screenwriter Victor Miller to cancel his copyright transfer, all development on all Friday the 13th related media has now been ordered to cease, and this includes Friday the 13th: The Game as well.
"I wanted to address a few questions that I’ve had sent to me personally, as well as questions we’ve received through the official F13 channels," reads the short developer update. "These questions vary but all have a similar tone/request. 'Is there a chance of any content being added to the game if a ruling on the dispute occurs in the near future?' The answer is no."
