[Update]: Bad news, I'm afraid. Creative Assembly's multiplayer extraction shooter Hyenas has been canceled alongside a few more projects.

While most of Creative Assembly is busy working on the various Total War titles, the Alien: Isolation team has been strangely silent despite creating a rather beloved game. The latter part has unfortunately still not changed, but I am glad to announce that the Alien: Isolation team is currently working on a mysterious new First Person Tactical Shooter!

This information comes to us from a job listing over at the Creative Assembly website, though as you can probably imagine, it doesn't actually shed much light on the game itself. The only thing I can really tell you is that it will most likely be available on PC and consoles given that the job listing quite clearly states this is for the "Console Team".

According to what little information is currently available, this new game will be a part of a brand new IP, so I think it's safe to say we won't be getting another Alien game. What exactly we will be getting, however, that is a mystery we'll unfortunately have to wait for quite a while in order to find out.

Once more details become available I'll make sure to let you know, though you can also keep an eye out yourself by visiting the official website.
