[Update]: Gloomhaven has now launched in full, and so far it's looking pretty darn solid!

After spending two years in Early Access, the video game adaptation of the popular board game Gloomhaven is now finally getting ready to launch. So if you're in the mood for some turn-based action, make sure to mark October 20th on your calendar as that's when Gloomhaven will be arriving onto PC and macOS.

As for what exactly you can expect to see in terms of gameplay from the launch version, that you can find out through the recently posted overview trailer. Have a gander, it's a rather informative one:

For those of you familiar with the tabletop version of Gloomhaven, it's well worth mentioning that the video game adaptation is not a 1:1 copy. Some of the elements simply could not be ported over to the digital space so they had to be changed, while others ended up being streamlined in order to make the action flow better. Gloomhaven is still pretty much the same game at it's core, but do expect to make a few mistakes before you get to grips with the new mechanics if you're a veteran.

It's also important to note that the October 20th launch will also bring with it a price increase, as announced at the very start of the Early Access campaign. As such, Gloomhaven's price will raise from 25€/$ to 35€/$, so if you're planning to grab yourself a copy it would be wise to do so before October 20th.
