[Update]: Creative Assembly has now detailed Nurgle's pestilent campaign mechanics!
After a rather long period of silence, Total War: Warhammer 3 devs have now started releasing so many teasers and previews that it's getting hard to keep up. We've barely just gone over everything the Ogre Kingdoms have to offer, and already Creative Assembly is moving onto the final two factions - the daemons of Nurgle and Slaanesh!
So if you're interested in what sorts of units the Lord of Decay and the Dark Prince will be fielding, as well as what sort of mess our omnipresent advisor has gotten himself into this time, you'll find your answers in the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it's a rather stylish one:

[Update #2]: My review of Monster Hunter Rise (PC) has now been released, and I'm very happy to say that it's a great port for a compelling yet somewhat unambitious Monster Hunter game.
[Update]: PC version of Monster Hunter Rise will launch with seemingly all of the Switch's post-launch content.
In what is quite possibly the strangest announcement I've seen in quite a few months, Monster Hunter Rise devs have revealed that they will soon be holding a crossover event with Sonic the Hedgehog. The collaboration will go live on November 26 for the Nintendo Switch, while the PC version will get all of the new content as soon as it launches on January 12, 2022.
The crossover event will bring with it two unique new quests to undertake, an assortment of Sonic themed music and effects, Sonic and Tails cosmetic armor for your Hunter and Palamute, as well as a Sonic Palico costume. And just to make things even more ridiculous, boosting your Palico with Felvine Bulbs will transform them into Super Sonic, complete with a fancy new animation!

[Update #2]: Halo Infinite's open-world singleplayer campaign has now arrived for PC and Xbox, and so far it's looking remarkably good.
[Update]: Halo Infinite devs are now working on improving the in-game progression systems.
In celebration of Halo's 20th anniversary, 343 Industries have now decided to unleash a free multiplayer beta for everyone to enjoy. In order to jump in all you need to do is head on over to Steam, click on that giant green "Play Game" button, and you'll be ready for some multiplayer madness in no time.
The Season 1 multiplayer beta brings with it both the free and paid battle passes that will carry over into the full version, an assortment of maps and game modes to enjoy, as well as some exclusive cosmetics to earn along the way. What all of this looks like in actual gameplay, however, that you can find out through the recently posted Season 1 trailer:

[Update]: After four years of waiting, Warframe's main storyline has now moved forward with The New War!
Being a fan of Warframe's main storyline over the last few years has been a fairly frustrating experience. After going through some rather interesting events surrounding our long-standing guide Lotus that ended in a massive cliffhanger, Digital Extremes proceeded to take the story in multiple different directions without ever resolving that big plot point - a meandering journey that took four actual years!
Thankfully, the long wait will soon be over as Warframe is finally coming back around to the main storyline. As such, once The New War story focused update arrives this December we'll get to see what exactly is happening with the vast Sentients army, Lotus, and the rest of the major factions.

As a part of the recent Repentance expansion, The Binding of Isaac added Tainted versions of playable characters in order to spice things up a bit. Each one has some heavy downsides that provide interesting challenges for veteran players, as well as a couple of potential upsides that can be expanded upon in order to create some monstrously powerful builds.
Unfortunately not all of the Tainted characters were well balanced, which meant that instead of being a fun extra challenge some of them were just downright annoying to play. So in order to sort that out, as well as fix a gigantic pile of bugs, The Binding of Isaac team has now unleashed Update 1.7.5.

[Update #2]: December's Update 1.03 has now corrected some of the more annoying problems.
[Update]: The GTA Trilogy has now returned, though the many issues still remain.
Well, it would seem that my original optimism was quite misplaced. Despite the first teaser trailer looking rather good, the actual release version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition has unfortunately ended up being a bit of a mess, especially on PC.
Not only are there a lot of bugs to deal with, some of which are severe enough that you can barely see what's happening on the screen, but the promised visual overhaul is spotty at best. Some areas and characters look genuinely good, while others feel unfinished and clash with the game's aesthetic. And to make matters worse, the GTA Trilogy has now also suddenly disappeared from PC and is currently unavailable for both purchase or play.

[Update #3]: World of Warcraft's Patch 9.2 - Eternity's End will be launching on February 22, 2022.
[Update #2]: World of Warcraft will finally be adding cross-faction dungeons, raids and rated PvP in Update 8.2.5!
[Update]: Microsoft has acquired Activision Blizzard for nearly 69 billion dollars.
The quality-of-life focused Update 9.1.5 has only just arrived, and already Blizzard is setting their sights on Update 9.2 - Eternity's End. Shadowlands' most likely final major update will bring with it Zereth Mortis as a mysterious new zone to explore, the return of class-based tier sets, a new raid to conquer, an ancient runic language to slowly decipher, and the list goes on.
You can get a pretty good idea of what this looks like in actual gameplay, as well as what the developers are trying to accomplish, through the recently posted preview. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: MTG Arena's Innistrad: Midnight Hunt & Crimson Vow double feature draft is coming on January 28, 2022.
[Update]: MTG Arena's digital-only Alchemy format has now arrived, and with it a whole assortment of new and rebalanced cards.
Only a short while has gone by since Innistrad: Midnight Hunt arrived, and already MTG Arena has unleashed its follow-up expansion - Innistrad: Crimson Vow. As you might expect from the name alone, Crimson Vow has brought with it a wide array of vampires, zombies, werewolves and spirits, as well as all sorts of other nightmarish monstrosities that endlessly plague the poor humans of Innistrad.
In terms of actual gameplay mechanics, Crimson Vow has brought back transformations and disturb from Midnight Hunt, while also adding a couple of new ones like blood tokens that allow you to cycle your cards. Here's a brief rundown of the six main mechanics you'll want to keep an eye out for:

[Update #2]: Battlefield 2042 devs have detailed their many plans to improve the often-criticized map design.
[Update]: Battlefield 2042 has now been unleashed, though sadly not without plenty of problems.
If you're itching for some ridiculously over-the-top shooty action, you'll be happy to hear that Battlefield 2042 is nearly upon us. The full game will launch on November 19th for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, while those that have purchased the Gold or Ultimate Editions will be able to start playing on November 12th once the early access period starts.
Unlike some of the previous games, Battlefield 2042 will be entirely multiplayer focused and will not feature any sort of singleplayer campaign. In order to facilitate this kind of multiplayer action, Battlefield 2042 will also be the first game in the series to feature cross-play! PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will all be able to play together on fully populated maps, while the technically weaker Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be together on less populous servers.
