Continuing with the recent trend of bringing back ancient classics, the 1992 action-platformer Flashback is currently in the process of getting a modern sequel. While no exact release has been given just yet, Flashback 2 will be launching onto PC and consoles at some point in 2023, most likely within the first half of the year.

Much like its predecessor, Flashback 2 will be a sci-fi action-platformer that will task you with exploring complex levels while doing whatever you can to avoid and outwit your enemies rather than simply run at them with guns blazing. Unfortunately, instead of sticking with the original's iconic rotoscoped look, Flashback 2 will be going for a much more standardized 2.5D art style.

In order to help pass the time until Diablo 4 finally arrives, and to keep the community in the loop, Blizzard has been releasing quarterly updates discussing everything from gameplay details to the finer points of monster design. This months' update, however, is a bit different.

Instead of showcasing the main campaign and its contents, the recently released August update is all about Diablo 4's post-launch plans, seasons, as well as how Blizzard is aiming to monetize all of it. If you've been playing Diablo 3 a lot of this should be familiar, but there's a few new details you'll want to keep an eye out for. Here's a brief rundown of what to expect:

Dungeons 4, a Dungeon Keeper inspired city building sim, key art showing off the evil overlord

Given how well received Dungeons 3 ended up being, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that the team is now working on a brand new sequel. Dungeons 4 will once again task you with constructing the ultimate evil lair, raising an army of the most despicable creatures you can possibly find so you can raid the unsuspecting overworld, as well as trapping every nook and cranny in order to ensure any pesky do-gooders don't liberate the contents of your vault.

As is befitting a sequel, Dungeons 4 is aiming to be bigger, better and more dynamic than its predecessors. Expect to see a fully narrated campaign with 20 missions, support for both singleplayer and co-op multiplayer, as well as a variety of new enemies and allies to mess around with.

With Diablo 4 slowly getting closer and closer, the Diablo 3 team has decided to get a bit experimental and really push the limits of player power. As such, the Season 27 update has now brought with it a brand new type of consumable called Angelic Crucibles.

These heavenly artifacts can be used to sanctify Legendary items, thus giving them perfect Ancient-level stats on all affixes while also preserving their Legendary Power. That alone would be strong enough to make you want to hunt these Angelic Crucibles whenever they might reside, but using them also gives you an additional new power to play around with!
