[Update #2]: I have a bit of good news to share. Dark Souls Remastered's servers are now once again live!
[Update]: Dark Souls 2: SOTFS PC servers are once again live, while the Dark Souls: PTD ones will sadly stay offline.
During the lead-up to Elden Ring a major vulnerability was discovered in the matchmaking system for the entire Dark Souls series. With there being no easy fix for the problem, FromSoftware opted to take down all of the online features on PC until a proper solution could be found.
Nearly a year has gone by since then, but I'm happy to say that things are finally looking up! Thanks to the freshly launched update, all online features for Dark Souls 3 should now be fully live on PC and free of the crippling vulnerability.
2014 Souls-like RPG Lords of the Fallen is getting an ambitious new sequel in 2023

After an extremely troubled development, and I can only imagine quite a few reboots, the 2014 Souls-like RPG Lords of the Fallen is now finally getting its well deserved sequel! No exact release date has been announced just yet, but the rather unfortunately named "The Lords of the Fallen" will be launching for PC, PlayStation and Xbox at some point in 2023.
The Lords of the Fallen will bring with it a significantly bigger world than its predecessor, the ability to complete the entire game alongside a friend and without any interruptions, as well as a whole bunch of fancy attacks and spells to experiment with. Unlike the first game The Lords of the Fallen will also allow you to fully customize your character because, as we all well know, fashion is the true end-game for a Souls-like!
Thirty years later, Monkey Island 2 will be getting a brand new sequel this September 19th, 2022

[Update]: Return to Monkey Island has now arrived alongside some highly positive reviews.
While I'm afraid this will make some of you feel really, really old, it has been over thirty years since Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge first arrived! As such, I'm both shocked and amazed to announce that the modern sequel, Return to Monkey Island, will be launching this September 19th for PC and Switch. What a long, strange trip it's been!
Return to Monkey Island will be a collaboration between Ron Gilbert's Terrible Toybox and Lucasfilm Games, bringing with it a new art style and feel to the series while still keeping true to the original's iconic sense of humor. Naturally, this means you can expect to see a whole bunch of shenanigans involving fan-favorite characters like good ol' Murray or salesman Stan.

[Update]: Nearly a decade after its original announcement, Dead Island 2 has now finally been unleashed.
Nearly a decade has gone by since Dead Island 2 was first announced, so I won't blame you if you completely gave up hope that the game would ever come out - I certainly did! However, in a refreshing twist, not only is Dead Island 2 still coming out, but it actually has a proper release date this time around - February 3rd, 2023!
What the new and improved version of Dead Island 2 looks like in action, that you can find out through the freshly posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's crossover update has added a brand new level inspired by Journey

If you've enjoyed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night's unexpected crossover with Ubisoft's Child of Light that added Aurora as a playable character, you'll be happy to hear that the Bloodstained team has just gone for round two! However, instead of adding an extra character, time around they have released a brand new level inspired by the highly atmospheric adventure Journey!
The newly added section of the castle, The Tunnels, is themed after the imagery and level design of Journey, though with a bit of a Bloodstained twist. Unsurprisingly, this also means the big bad boss waiting for you at the end of The Tunnels is a giant construct reminiscent of Journey's Guardians!
Total War: Warhammer 3's biggest update ever has added Immortal Empires and a ton of tweaks

[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 3 has made the Immortal Empires combined campaign map free for all owners!
[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's Update 2.1 has greatly enhanced the modding tools and fixed many bugs.
It took what feels like forever to get here, but Total War: Warhammer 3 has now finally unleashed the Immortal Empires combined campaign map as a part of a free update! As such, all of the races and factions from Total War: Warhammer 1, 2 and 3, along with most of the territories from all three games, now exist on a singular and absolutely gigantic map that's just begging to be conquered!
Immortal Empires alone would've be good enough to keep me happy for a very, very long time, but Creative Assembly has instead decided to push things even further for this update. There's a brand new DLC featuring four powerful Champions of Chaos, the long-awaited arrival of blood & gore effects, a full rework of the previously miserable Warriors of Chaos faction, numerous buffs and tweaks to a whole assortment of older factions and legendary lords, and the list goes on for a while.
Co-op focused MMORPG Guild Wars 2 has now landed onto Steam alongside a massive update

[Update #2]: Guild Wars 2's October 4th update will empower old specializations and rebalance classes for PvP.
[Update]: Tower of Nightmares, Guild Wars 2's long-lost Season 1 episode, has now been reborn
After many years of rumors and teasers, the day has finally come - Guild Wars 2 has now made its way over to Steam! Much like the standalone version of the game, all of the base content in the Steam edition of Guild Wars 2 is entirely free to play. After you're done with that you can continue your adventures by grabbing the Heart of Thorns & Path of Fire expansion bundle, going for the newest End of Dragons expansion, or the freshly added pack containing all of the Living World mini-episodes. Personally, I'd stick to the main story and go for the double expansion bundle first.
Since this is also Guild Wars 2's tenth anniversary, ArenaNet has unleashed a bunch of boosts for both PvP and PvE content, as well as a new set of achievements for both veterans and newcomers alike. These new achievements will guide you across the entirety of Guild Wars 2's world and offer you a chance to score a bunch of fancy new armor and weapons.
