[Update #2]: After exactly a year in Early Access, Sons Of The Forest's Version 1.0 has now been unleashed!

[Update]: In a bit of an unexpected, though not unwelcome twist, Sons of the Forest has now launched into Early Access instead of going for a 'proper' release.

If you were eagerly awaiting to dive into The Forest's sequel this October, I'm afraid I have some bad news to deliver. According to the latest developer update, Sons of the Forest has now been delayed yet again, though thankfully this time around we've been given an actual release date to latch onto!

"Due to the scope of our new game Sons Of The Forest, it has been hard to pinpoint an exact release date, and today we have to delay one last time," explains the brief announcement. "Giving us time to complete the polish we feel is needed, we will release Feb 23, 2023, priced at $29.99USD."

Worldless is a minimalistic yet remarkably stylish Metroidvania with turn-based combat

In stark contrast to the usual genre norms, the upcoming Worldless is an action-platformer and Metroidvania that occasionally stops to let you take a breather and really focus on fighting against your enemies through turn-based combat. Don't get too comfortable, however, as you'll still need to pay attention since both your defense and offense can be greatly augmented by hitting the correct timings.

As you venture across the world and gain more experience you'll able to unlock new abilities as well as further enhance your combat capabilities through a chunky talent tree. And keeping with the whole Metroidvania theme, you'll also be able to find a variety of new mobility tools that will help you uncover new shortcuts, secrets and even more goodies to mess around with!

[Update #2]: MTG Arena will be getting Shadows over Innistrad Remastered in 2023 and a second Explorer Anthology in 2022.

[Update]: MTG Arena's October 6th mini-expansion will bring with it the iconic Power 9 cards.

I hope you're in the mood for a massive meta shake-up, because MTG Arena has just added the Dominaria United expansion. It brings with it a whole host of new cards to play around with it, as well as the annual set rotation that has removed Zendikar Rising, Kaldheim, Strixhaven and Adventures in the Forgotten Realms from the Standard format. So if you ever wanted to give Magic: The Gathering a try, this would be the perfect time to do so as there's only a couple of sets you'll need to worry about.

When it comes to the cards themselves, there are three new and two returning mechanics for you to experiment with: Enlist, Read Ahead and Stun Counters, as well as Domain and Kicker. Here's a brief overview of what each of them does:

[Update]: Shovel Knight Dig has now arrived, and so far the community seems to be a bit divided on it.

If you're looking for something to help pass the time while Yacht Club Games pour everything they have into Mina the Hollower, an 8-bit tribute to action-adventure games of old, you'll be pleased to hear that a brand new Shovel Knight game is nearly upon us! That said, the upcoming Shovel Knight Dig will offer a bit of a unique experience compared to the mainline series.

The biggest difference is that Shovel Knight Dig will be a roguelite game, which means it'll contain a mixture of hand-crated areas and randomized elements, all in an effort to keep things fresh and interesting for multiple playthroughs. Unsurprisingly, this also means you'll be able to find and unlock a whole bunch of permanent items and upgrades to give your future runs a bit of a boost, as well as to spice up the gameplay as a whole.

Commandos 3 HD remaster artwork for the turn-based tactics game

Two years after the somewhat poorly received Commandos 2 - HD Remaster, the final real-time tactics game in the series has now underwent the same sort of treatment, though under a different studio. As such, the freshly released Commandos 3 - HD Remaster brings with it reworked 3D models and textures that were rebuilt from the ground up, improved and fully customizable controls, a refined UI, and most importantly, a new set of beginner-friendly tutorials to help you get started on the right foot.

What the new visual improvements look like in action, that you can get a few glimpses at through the launch trailer below. It's a little bit messy, but it should hopefully still get the message across. Have a look:

Dota 2's Patch 7.32b has now arrived to fix up some of the recently introduced balance issues and bugs

[Update #2]: Dota 2 has just given all players a generous gift - the Battle Pass, a $30 Arcana and a month of Dota Plus! All you have to do is play ten games during the course of the 2022 Battle Pass.

[Update]: Dota 2 has launched Update 7.23c to fix up any balance issues before The International 2022 starts.

Last week Dota 2's Patch 7.32 brought with it an absurd amount of balance changes and additions that messed around with everything from the heroes to the items and even the map itself. Unsurprisingly given the sheer scale of the changes, Patch 7.32 arrived alongside a hefty amount of bugs and balance issues that saw heroes like Death Prophet almost completely disappear.

So in order to sort all of these problems out, as well as give the metagame another good shake, Valve has now unleashed Patch 7.32b. While it's nowhere near Patch 7.32 in size, its impact should not be underestimated as even small numerical changes have the power to greatly reshape the Dota 2 landscape.
