F1 Manager 2022 artwork showing a formula 1 car being prepared

[Update]: Thanks to a massive outcry, F1 Manager 2022 will not be getting abandoned after a mere two months.

After last year's Jurassic World Evolution 2, Frontier Developments have now returned with yet another detailed simulator to mess around with. However, instead of experimenting with dinosaurs and genetics, the freshly launched F1 Manager 2022 will have you micromanage every aspect of a Formula 1 team, from the tires that are used in each race to the budget and finances behind each aspect of your strategy. In other words, it's pretty much Football Manager for Formula 1 fans.

What this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can get a decent impression of through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander:

I haven't played F1 Manager 2022 myself so take the following with a few grains of salt, but after reading some reviews and opinions online it appears to be a highly solid base for a game that still needs a bit more polish before it can be considered truly great. So unless you're extremely eager to dive in, it might be wise to give Frontier Developments a couple of months to sort out some of the bigger issues before giving it a go yourself, just to make sure you get as smooth of an experience as possible.

Whether you feel like waiting or not you can learn more about F1 Manager 2022, as well as check out some of the player reviews, over at Steam. Enjoy!
