Square Enix's minimalistic, card-based JRPG Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden has now arrived

Much like its two predecessors, the freshly released Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden is a traditional swords & sorcery JRPG where literally everything is done through the medium of cards. And when I say literally everything, I'm really not joking.
The world map you can explore is made entirely out of cards, your party is represented through cards, your conversations and decisions are handled by selecting a response from a couple of cards, and naturally, you can fight enemies by flinging your cards at their cards. Yet despite all of this, Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden is not a card-based game similar to something like Slay the Spire, but rather a proper JRPG with a bit of a unique and minimalistic aesthetic.
Overwatch's freshly launched Last Chance event offers one final shot at spending your Credits

[Update]: Overwatch 2 has now unveiled its very first support hero - the wall-climbing, fox themed healer Kiriko. The Blizzard team has also taken this opportunity to detail Overwatch 2's Battle Pass, hero unlock system, as well as their plans for future updates.
If there's any sort of skin, voice line or animation that you'd like to grab for use in Overwatch 2, this would be the perfect time to do so as Blizzard has just unleashed the Last Chance event. As the name might imply, the Last Chance event has opened up the vaults and given players the opportunity to unlock any of the various seasonal cosmetics with in-game credits.
You don't have to spend everything if you don't want to, however, as once Overwatch 2 arrives on October 4th all of your current credits will be transferred over. That said, I would still advise spending everything as it's unlikely the Overwatch 2 will give players a chance to bypass the new progression system and unlock a bunch of new stuff with stockpiles of old credits. Similarly, it's unlikely that Overwatch 2 will let you unlock seasonal cosmetics without the accompanying event being active, so if you don't get things right now you might have to wait an entire year for another chance.
Roadwarden is a stylish, text-based RPG with a heavy focus on storytelling and decision-making

If you're up for an oldschool RPG, and you aren't afraid of reading through copious amounts of text, you might want to check out the freshly released Roadwarden. To put it simply, it's primarily a text-based RPG with some stylish pixel art illustrations that will task you with exploring a massive fantasy world full of mysteries to uncover, catastrophes to thwart and characters to annoy with endless questions.
Along the way you'll need to make hard choices that will greatly influence the course of the game, antagonize or befriend the many creatures and people that will cross your path, as well as customize and take care of every aspect of your own character - even stuff that is usually assumed like keeping yourself nice and clean. After all, if you appear in the middle of a village smelling like you've just taken a swim through a rancid sewer, the townsfolk might not be all that eager to let you in their homes!
Crusader Kings 3 has permanently doubled the price of its Fate of Iberia and Northern Lords DLCs

In a bit of a strange move given that both DLCs are fairly middling in terms of quality, Paradox has now permanently doubled the price of the Fate of Iberia and Northern Lords expansions. Furthermore, all Flavor Pack DLCs moving forward will feature the same €13 price tag in order to "to reflect the overall value of this kind of content."
This doesn't mean that all future DLCs will be getting more expensive, however, as noted by the freshly released Friends & Foes expansion that is currently only €5. That said, Friends & Foes is a remarkably small DLC, so if you're looking for something a bit more substantial I'm afraid you're still going to have to go for the more expensive expansions.
Prison Architect's Free for Life update has added aging, guard seniority, and a ton of improvements

[Update]: Prison Architect's Undead DLC has added the living dead, bounty hunters and numerous traps.
Continuing with their seemingly never-ending quest to expand the scope of the game, the Prison Architect team has just unleashed the Free for Life update. Inmates are now affected by the passage of time and will not only grow older visually, but will also change in terms of demeanor and interests. Similarly, your guards will now be able to gain promotions, and with them increased stats and special perks.
The Free for Life has also added a couple of new options and tweaks to make the prison design process go by easier and faster. Expect to see things like coordinates and grids to help you align your plans, the ability to save rooms in order to quickly clone them later down the line, as well as special utility menus for Electrical, Water and Wiring.
PlatinumGames' co-op focused action RPG Babylon's Fall is shutting down after less than a year

[Update]: The sad saga has now come to an end - Babylon's Fall has shut down its doors for good.
Back in March PlatinumGames and Square Enix unleashed the co-op focused action RPG Babylon's Fall onto PC and PlayStation. While the concept and lore were certainly intriguing, pretty much everything else was unfortunately a bit of a mess.
Even though it cost €70 at launch, Babylon's Fall's UI design was seemingly untested and annoying to navigate, the visuals were extremely dated, while the cash shop was constantly getting pushed onto players. Most damning of all, the combination of these factors created a co-op game with barely any players in it, which kind of defeats the whole point.
Tron: Identity is a investigation focused visual novel from the studio behind Thomas Was Alone

At this point I have absolutely no idea what to expect from Bithell Games. Between an emotional puzzle-platformer starring a bunch of rectangles and a real-time tactics game featuring none other than John Wick, Bithell Games have shown that they are willing to experiment with pretty much any interesting idea. As such, it may or may not come as much of a surprise to hear that Bithell Games are now working on an investigation-focused visual novel set in the Tron universe!
The freshly announced Tron: Identity will put in you in the shoes of a detective program called Query as it attempts to uncover not only who has stolen information from the grand repository, but also what exactly has even been stolen! Along the way you'll need to solve a variety of puzzles, make important choices that will shape the outcome of the whole story, as well as interact with a variety of hand-drawn characters and environments.
