Halo Infinite devs have detailed some of the fundamentals behind the upcoming Forge editor

According to the September developer update, Halo Infinite's co-op campaign and Forge editor will be launching on November 8th. Unfortunately, the previously announced split-screen co-op option has been canceled entirely as 343 Industries simply don't have the time or resources to work on it.

Out of the two upcoming features, however, the Forge editor is by far the most exciting one as it offers players the ability to create their very own maps, rework or tweak weapons and vehicles, as well as create entirely new game modes for everyone to mess around with. It's going to be a remarkably powerful tool, and unsurprisingly, one that will take a fair bit of tinkering and experimentation before you can truly master it.

Metal: Hellsinger is a unique combination of heavy metal music, a rhythm game and a Doom-style FPS

[Update]: Metal: Hellsinger has now been unleashed, and I'm happy to say it's enjoying a highly positive reception so far.

If you're in the mood for a bit of an unusual combination of genres, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Metal: Hellsinger. It's essentially a heavy metal infused first-person shooter where everything is done to the beat of the music. So kind of like a rhythm game, just a lot more murderous.

Things get even more interesting when you consider that the music adapts to your gameplay. The more in sync you are with the rhythm, the more intense and aggressive the music will become, and the more destruction you'll be able to unleash upon your demonic foes! Needless to say, that is a really cool idea!

Fall Guys official artwork for Season 2: Satellite Scramble update

[Update]: Fall Guys' Season 2 has now arrived, and so far it looks like the new challenges are fairly simple to complete.

As a part of the June 2022 update, Fall Guys went free-to-play whilst leaving Steam in favor of the Epic Games Store. The re-branded Season 1 update also brought with it a variety of new maps and costumes to play around with it, as well as both cross-play and cross-platform progression.

While the upcoming Season 2: Satellite Scramble update doesn't have the same amount of bombastic new features to offer, you'll be happy to hear that it will still add an assortment of new space-themed maps and skins, a brand new Battle Pass, as well as the Satellite Explorers event that'll bring with it even more cosmetics to collect.

Funcom's newly announced Dune: Awakening will be an open-world, survival focused MMO

Funcom's new survival focused open world MMO Dune: Awakening artwork and logo

In a bit of an unexpected announcement Funcom, the studio behind Conan Exiles and MMOs like The Secret World and Anarchy Online, have recently revealed that they're working on a brand new MMO set within the Dune universe! While the gameplay details are still few and far between, Dune: Awakening will be an open world and survival focused MMO that will have thousands of players squabbling over every inch and resource found on the planet of Arrakis.

Besides being able to create your very own fortress, the most exciting part of Dune: Awakening will be the coriolis storms that will be capable of shifting the sands and altering the landscape. How exactly that will work in terms of gameplay, I'm afraid nobody outside of Funcom currently knows, but having large-scale dynamic events is a great way to shake up the game and get players into conflict with each other, so I'm cautiously optimistic about the whole idea.

[Update]: Ravenbound will be heading into Closed Beta on September 29th, and the whole test will run until October 13th.

After spending a fair few years pitting players against murderous robots, Generation Zero studio Systemic Reaction is now working on something a little bit different. The freshly announced Ravenbound will be a challenging open world action-roguelite set in an universe heavily inspired by Norse mythology.

While the combat will be done in Souls-like fashion with plenty of dodging and timing when to attack the significantly stronger enemies, the actual character progression will be done through the use of cards. Each time your character dies you'll be able to expand your deck by selecting a powerful piece of gear, a new magic spell or whatever else tickles your fancy. As such, each new character will be slightly better prepared to tackle the many challenges... provided they live long enough to draw the cards and unlock their powers anyway!

There Is No Light indie action-adventure with horror themes official artwork and logo

[Update #2]: There Is No Light's Enhanced Edition has added a whole bunch of new abilities and rebalanced most enemies.

[Update]: I've now released a detailed review for There Is No Light, and I'm pleased to say it's quite good!

Set in a world where humanity has fled the surface following a global catastrophe, There Is No Light is a dark and brutal, yet still remarkably stylish action-RPG. It brings with it a lengthy and non-linear storyline with plenty of meaningful choices to make, a chunky skill tree to help you build your preferred playstyle, and naturally, a whole host of deranged enemies and eldritch abominations to keep smashing your head against.

Since There Is No Light is heavily focused on its combat and atmosphere, allow me to stop babbling and instead share with you the recently posted preview. It should give you a pretty good idea of just what There Is No Light is trying to do. Have a gander:

[Update #2]: Deep Rock Galactic's Season 3 - Plaguefall update has added fancy new grenades, enemy variants and mission objectives.

[Update]: The Oktoberfest 2022 update has now arrived with silly new hats and a double XP event.

Following an extremely cryptic teaser, the Deep Rock Galactic team has finally now announced that the chunky Season 3 update will be coming on November 3rd for PC. Consoles will also be getting the update, though at a small delay as it'll be launching on November 17th.

The full list of changes has not been announced just yet, though you can expect Season 3 to bring with it a variety of new toys and enemies to mess around with, as well as a brand new Battle Pass filled with fancy beards and other cosmetics to collect. Much like the previous seasons, the entire Battle Pass will be free of charge! So as long as you stick around for a while and smash hordes upon hordes of bugs, you'll be able to get everything you want. And even if you don't, it'll all be released into the in-game loot pool after the season is completely done!
