At this point I have absolutely no idea what to expect from Bithell Games. Between an emotional puzzle-platformer starring a bunch of rectangles and a real-time tactics game featuring none other than John Wick, Bithell Games have shown that they are willing to experiment with pretty much any interesting idea. As such, it may or may not come as much of a surprise to hear that Bithell Games are now working on an investigation-focused visual novel set in the Tron universe!

The freshly announced Tron: Identity will put in you in the shoes of a detective program called Query as it attempts to uncover not only who has stolen information from the grand repository, but also what exactly has even been stolen! Along the way you'll need to solve a variety of puzzles, make important choices that will shape the outcome of the whole story, as well as interact with a variety of hand-drawn characters and environments.

No gameplay preview has been released just yet, but you can at least get a small impression of the sort of soundtrack Tron: Identity will use through the incredibly brief teaser below. Have a peek:

Similarly, no concrete release date has been announced. The only thing I can tell you is that Tron: Identity will be launching for PC and consoles at some point in 2023.

For the time being, however, you can learn a few more tidbits about Tron: Identity and its premise over to Steam. Enjoy!
