A Modder Has Managed To Greatly Improve Upon Aliens: Colonial Marines

Aliens: Colonial Marines is to me the worst type of a game, its not bad enough that it becomes funny like Ride to Hell: Retribution, and its definitively not good enough to enjoy despite some of the bugs turning Aliens in to tap-dancing machines. Instead it resides in that dreaded middle-ground of mediocrity and boredom, where no sane person dare ever tread.
There is some hope for Aliens: Colonial Marines, however, as it appears that a modder by the name of TemplarGFX has done what Gearbox could not: make the game both challenging and actually...fun!

To say that Starbound has been in development for a long time would be akin to saying that the Sun is a pretty hot place, but despite the glacial development pace and multiple delays I'm still glad its finally coming out of Early Access.
The big shift to version 1.0 will occur with Starbound's next update which "is getting close" and bringing with it story content, new quests, dungeons, upgraded crafting, new crew members, and a whole bunch more.
The Second Overwatch Animated Short Showcases The Darker Side Of The Story

I'm not sure why Blizzard has decided to invest so much time and effort in to creating compelling lore for a game where everyday business is mostly shooting people in the head, but I am grateful they decided to do so because it has managed to elevate Overwatch in to something quite special.
Today's lore tidbits come from the second animated short, titled Alive, that explores some of the darker elements and themes of the Overwatch universe through the point of view of Widowmaker, the impractically dressed and not-quite-French sniper. Here's the video:

A mere two months after it was first announced, Endless Legend's Shifters expansion is getting ready for its big release on April 7, and bringing with it deadlier winters as well as a new major faction - the ever-changing Allayi.
If you're interested in an hour-long developer preview of Shifters you can find it over at the Amplitude Studios Twitch page, but for now here's the Allayi lore trailer and a bit of information on the expansion itself:

When Don't Starve originally appeared it was a breath of fresh air for a survival genre that was unfortunately stuck in an endless cycle of copying Minecraft, failing, and trying again. It brought with it a ton of content, a bizarre world to explore, and most importantly, actually challenging gameplay that only got tougher over the years as expansions rolled in.
And if that wasn't enough for you, you'll be glad to hear that the recently released Shipwrecked DLC brought with it a whole ocean's worth of new content to Don't Starve. Here's the trailer and a bit of info on what to expect from Shipwrecked:

Heroes of the Storm is soon going to become a lot more cheerful as Tracer, the constantly optimistic and time-warping adventurer from Overwatch, is making her way to the Nexus.
She will become available on April 19 for those that pre-order the PC version of Overwatch: Origins, with the rest getting a chance to purchase her from the in-game store starting on April 26. Here's the trailer showcasing some of her abilities:
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Has Sold More Than Half A Million Copies - Next DLC Is Coming Before May

A couple of years ago Games Workshop started giving out the Warhammer and Warhammer 40k licenses to anyone that was willing to ask, which mostly resulted in games that were either broken, boring, or sometimes even a magical combination of both. So imagine everyone's surprise when a "L4D clone" from a small indie studio ended up being one of the best games to release in 2015.
I am, of course, talking about Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide which has since then managed to improve on nearly all fronts and earn itself the bragging rights that come with selling over half a million copies! An exceptional number for some AAA games, let alone an indie studio. As you can imagine, the team is rather grateful for the support:
