Doom Has A New Live Action Trailer That Thankfully Doesn't Suck

Doom live action trailer looks pretty damn good

Do you remember the eldritch abomination that was 2005's live action Doom movie? If you do, you'll be greatly relieved to hear that the recently posted live action Doom trailer shares absolutely nothing with it.

What it has instead is copious amounts of explosions, hard rock, demons, and a surprising lack of demons getting blown up on screen. Either way, its well worth the 1 minute it takes to watch it:

Total War: Warhammer video showcases Raise Dead mechanic

After the unmitigated disaster that was Rome 2's initial launch something within Creative Assembly clearly changed for the better. Attila released without so much as a hitch, and now Total War: Warhammer is getting straight up gameplay videos every week that offer us a deep look in to all of the mechanics and features, even if they are still unfinished.

The same applies to the recently posted Vampire Counts campaign video that showcases all of the different technology they are able to employ, as well as how exactly the raise dead mechanics works. Have a look:

PC Version of Final Fantasy XV is being considered

I don't think this news comes as much of a shock to many of you, but with various other Final Fantasy games either officially coming (such as FFIX), or rumored to be in the works (FFX &X-2), its not that far of a stretch to imagine that the long awaited FFXV might make its way to PC as well.

Unfortunately, that is not the case as a recent Engadget article/interview revealed that Final Fantasy XV is currently not being developed for PC. On the positive side, the team is open to the idea and will put it under heavy consideration once they finally go through with the console launch. Here are the quotes from the interview:

Two Rather Bizarre Dark Souls 3 Trailers Have Been Released, Check Them Out

Dark Souls 3 animated trailer & 80's horror trailer

The Souls series has had its fair share of absolutely bizarre trailers over the years, trailers that somehow always fail to represent the game in its true light (or, well... dark), and while the two trailers released yesterday certainly fall in that category, they are also incredibly fascinating.

The first trailer you will see is a re-imagining of Dark Souls 3 as a schlocky B-grade 80s horror movie, with all of film grain and cheesy voice acting that comes with that. Nothing I say will do it justice, so direct your eyeballs below and behold the spectacle:

Samorost 3 gameplay showcase with a focus on music and atmosphere

Samorost 3 is the lovely, yet somewhat bizarre new point & click adventure from Amanita Design, creators of the equally wonderful Machinarium and Botanicula.

Since I couldn't actually demonstrate the music and serene atmosphere found in Samorost 3 through my proper review, I've created a 15 minute long gameplay showcase to do just that. All of the footage is from the early portions of the game and it contains minimal spoilers, so make sure to crank up the volume, and enjoy the show:

Metal Gear Solid Online Is Getting Survival Mode As A Part Of The Upcoming Update

Metal Gear Solid Online is getting a survival mode

Continuing on with the survival theme that seems to permeate AAA development these days, Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid Online will be receiving its own Survival mode next week.

However, unlike the survival modes in Far Cry Primal and Fallout 4 that expect you to scrounge for supplies and fight against an uncaring landscape, the Survival Mode in MGO is a bit less exciting, its a 6 man free-for-all where players attempt to earn 5 wins in a row in order to qualify for some secret, but supposedly awesome prizes. Here's the bizarre video Konami released to 'showcase' the Survival Mode:
