The Latest Settlers Game Has Been Turned Into An 'RTS' - Champions Of Anteria
- By Ash
- in News
Despite the Settlers series not having a good entry in about a decade now, I still hold out hope that maybe, just maybe the next one will recapture the same charm I've experienced so many years ago.
Unfortunately, that is not going to be Settlers: Kingdoms of Anteria as it has been canceled and reshaped in to a brand new single player 'RTS' - Champions of Anteria. Here's the trailer:
Magicka: Wizard Wars Will Be Shutting Down In The Near Future
- By Ash
- in News
I'm not sure if its because of bad marketing, unfortunate circumstances, or whatever else, but this is the first time I've even heard of Magicka: Wizard Wars, a free-to-play multiplayer version of one of the best "make your friends hate you" co-op games out there, Magicka.
Sadly it doesn't appear I will ever get to know it because Paradox has just announced that the Magicka: Wizard Wars servers will be shutting down in three months after failing to even cover server costs for 9 months straight. Here's the brief announcement message:

Seven Is An Upcoming Isometric Thief-Inspired RPG With An Emphasis On Difficult Choices

- in Indie Games
I am a big fan of stealth games, which by law means I am a massive fan of the Thief series, but I'm also an equally feverish fan of the Witcher games, so when someone tells me that several of the Witcher 3 developers are trying their hand at a Thief-inspired RPG, you bet my ears are all perked up!
The isometric RPG in question is simply titled as Seven, and once complete will allow you to freely explore a sandbox world through a combination of sneaking, stabbing, climbing, and naturally, plenty of decision making. If you're interested in what all of that looks in action, here's a recently released gameplay/story teaser:
Definitive Edition Of 'Ori And The Blind Forest' Is Coming To PC On April 27
- By Ash
- in News
Ori and the Blind Forest is one of those cutesy platformers that are designed to make you think you're in for a lovely trip through some great-looking scenery before bringing down the hammer, and brutally destroying your hope as you endlessly tumble into death-pits. Most importantly, however, its a rather fun game.
Its soon going to become even better as the Definitive Edition has finally received its PC release date, April 27. You can expect to see new areas filled with even more lore to immerse yourself in, new abilities to enjoy, and a whole new variety of pits to slip into. Besides the new content there are a couple of extra difficulty modes, an easy mode that's there to simply let you experience all Ori has to offer, as well as a hard mode that's there to ensure you experience the underside of every death-trap Ori has to offer.
But enough yapping from me, here's the recently posted trailer for the Definitive Edition:
Mirror's Edge Catalyst Has Been Delayed For Two Weeks In Order To Ensure Quality

- in News
This wouldn't be the first time Mirror's Edge Catalyst was delayed, but much like then I consider any rescheduling due to EA/Dice wanting to ensure its quality as a very welcome thing, even if it means we have to wait a little bit longer.
Thankfully, the delay this time around isn't a couple of months, but only two weeks. The new release date for North America has been set for June 7th, with June 9th reserved for the rest of the world. As for the reason why, the Design Director Erik Odeldahl had this to say:
All Hearthstone 'Whispers Of The Old Gods' Cards Have Been Revealed
- By Ash
- in News
After drip-feeding us cards for the better part of two months now, Blizzard has finally decided to unleash everything they have, first by announcing all of the nerfs, and now by revealing every single Whispers of the Old Gods card.
You can find the full list over at the official Facebook page, but its rather messy and unorganized, so I'd recommend going with Hearthpwn, they've made the cards presentable and easy to search by class.
