Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is arriving today

[Update]: I've done a detailed review on Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, and if you're interested I welcome you to check it out by pressing here.

There have not been many good Warhammer games in recent history, mostly on account of Games Workshop lending out their license to basically anyone that's coherent enough to ask, but thankfully Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is a lovely exception, as I've come to realize in my adventures through the closed beta.

So it is with joy in my heart that I'm able to tell you that Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will be releasing on Steam in less than an hour! Here's the overly-serious, yet completely cheesy release trailer:

Tracer Has Arrived To Heroes Of The Storm With Quite Possibly The Best Hero Trailer So Far

Tracer has arrived to Heroes of the Storm

Ever since the first announcement it was obvious that Blizzard is going to put in a lot of effort to ensure that Tracer makes a smooth transition from Overwatch to Heroes of the Storm, and judging by the two recently released videos, they seem to have done so admirably.

While I tend not to cover simple character additions, Tracer's recent trailer might quite possibly be the best one Blizzard has ever done for HOTS, beating even such classics as Azmodunk, the supreme ruler of the basketball court. Have a look, its well worth the minute or so:

The Binding Of Isaac Afterbirth+ list of features has been detailed

Edmund McMillen, the creator of The Binding of Isaac and overall biggest tease among indie developers, has finally revealed the list of features we can expect to see in the upcoming Afterbirth+ DLC/expansion.

You will find the list right below, but do bear in mind that this is currently a rough estimate of the features that will be making their way to the release version as some may be cut due to balance reasons, and others added because the developers envisioned yet another poop-based trinket. Have a gander:

Total War: Warhammer Will Feature Bretonnia As A Multiplayer Faction From Day 1

By Ash

Total War: Warhammer has added Bretonnia as a free multiplayer faction

Bretonnia has been in Total War: Warhammer since the very first gameplay videos surfaced, but it was alluded to be nothing more than a recolor of the Empire, and mostly there to add flavor to your campaign playthrough.

Things have changed, however, and the fans of flamboyant medieval knights among you will be immensely happy to hear that Bretonnia will be joining the roster of playable multiplayer factions for Total War: Warhammer. To celebrate such an announcement the developers have released a rather long show-match between the Chalice knights of Bretonnia, and the undead hordes of Sylvania. Have a look:

Hearthstone's Upcoming Nerfbat Targets Have Been Announced

Blizzard has announced the upcoming Hearthstone balance changes

With only a couple of days left until Whispers of the Old Gods finally arrives to Hearthstone Blizzard has opted to reveal all of the cards that will be brutally mauled gently tapped by the patented nerfbat.

In true Blizzard fashion a portion of the cards was handled so expertly I'm genuinely impressed by the development team, while the other portion was done so terribly I'd be genuinely impressed if these cards ever see play again. Here's the full list of nerfs, and if you're interested in Blizzards reasoning behind each change, head over to the official website:

Doom - PC Multiplayer Thoughts And Critique

Impressions and critique of Doom's PC multiplayer balance, design, and more

After playing the Doom multiplayer beta for what feels like an eternity now, but is actually only a couple of hours, I've come to realize that its not the worst game in existence as the Steam reviews might lead you to believe, but rather a deeply troubled one that is so desperately trying to please everyone, it ends up pleasing no one.

Its obviously catering to the old school FPS crowd with the small arenas and constant focus on action, but its too slow and far too shallow to appeal to those players; its also trying to win over COD fans with the loadout system and constant trickle of mostly pointless "upgrades", but the weapons are imbalanced and the mostly pointless upgrades are just that, mostly pointless; and finally, it tries to appeal to Halo players, but the weapons and abilities are just not exciting or unique enough to keep anyone's interest for very long.

So where exactly does Doom make its cardinal mistakes, and how could Bethesda and Id go about fixing them?

Doom Gameplay Showcase - PC Multiplayer On Warpath Maps

Doom 2016 PC gameplay on Warpath game mode

I've spent a good chunk of time this weekend playing the PC open beta for Doom 2016, and while I certainly had a good deal of fun with it, its not the sort of multiplayer experience that I find very compelling.

But who knows, you might just find it to be the best thing since self-slicing bread. In either case, here's some pure gameplay footage featuring the two Warpath maps, a whole bunch of weapons, and the Revenant demon transformation:
