Hearthstone's Whispers Of The Old Gods Expansion is coming April 26

After the information was accidentally leaked about 3-4 times now, Blizzard has finally and officially confirmed that Whispers of the Old Gods will be creeping in to Hearthstone on April 26.

Unfortunately for us in Europe and Asia, the Old Gods will be taking a short nap and resuming their march towards world domination on April 27, hopefully without the usual week of server crashes that follows any sort of EU launch. Here's the extra spooky trailer if you've managed to miss it:

Guild Wars 2's Spring Quarterly Update Is Now Live And The Patch Notes Span Over 40 Pages

Guild Wars 2's spring quarterly update is absolutely massive

When the Spring Quarterly Update was first announced I mentioned how Guild Wars 2 is in need of a truly titanic patch to correct all of the issues Heart of Thorns brought with it, and from what I can see here, it does not disappoint. And how could it, the patch notes span over 40 pages when copied in to Word, that's insane!

I would usually post the patch notes at this point, but given the size of the update there is simply no sense in doing such a thing, so if you're interested in all of the changes, from the big reworks to the most minute of bug fixes, you can find them over at the Guild Wars 2 forums. As for me, I will attempt to give you a quick glance at what exactly is being changed:

The Dark Souls Board Game Has Been Funded On Kickstarter Within Minutes Of Starting

Dark Souls 3 board game has been fully funded

I'm fully aware that Dark Souls fans can be a loyal bunch, I am one after all, but its still a bit shocking to see the Dark Souls board game reach its £50,000 goal within minutes of starting. To make things even more interesting, the community has managed to blow through all of the stretch goals as well, most likely leaving the developers both incredibly happy and rather stunned.

Since its a bit difficult to briefly explain a board game, especially one that aims to emulate a game as complex as Dark Souls, here's a demo video where the developers face off against a boss, specifically the Dancer of the Boreal Valley:

RuneScape Has Just Recieved A New Engine, Expect Improvements To Graphics And Performance

RuneScape NXT has released with a new engine and game client

RuneScape is 15 years old at this point, and with such an old engine powering it there are numerous issues that have became increasingly annoying over the course of its life, most notably the sketchy performance on modern machines, poor draw distance, graphics that rival those of a PlayStation game, and so forth.

Thankfully, these problems have now been mostly solved as RuneScape has finally made its transition to a brand new visual engine, and modern client. Here's the trailer showcasing the improvements, as well as a short overview of what the team plans to enhance next:

Mafia 3's Release Date And Story Elements Have Been Announced

By Ash

Mafia 3 is releasing on October 7

Mafia 3 is set in the open world of 1968 New Bordeaux, a city inspired by New Orleans and complete with era-appropriate cars, fashion, music, and naturally, dialect. You will be put in to the shoes of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam veteran and ex member of the black mob, a gang that ended up being betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia.

What follows next is a good old fashioned revenge story where Lincoln attempts to build his new empire atop the ashes of the old one, and carve his way through the ranks of those responsible for the betrayal of his surrogate family. In short, don't expect to see any upstanding citizens in Mafia 3. Here's the story trailer:

Dark Souls 1 Servers Are Having Technical Trouble, Multiplayer Is Offline

Dark Souls 1 servers are having technical issues, multiplayer is offline

Right around the time Dark Souls 3 launched, the multiplayer portion of Dark Souls 1 started having bigger and bigger issues until it inevitably succumbed to the hollowing process, and just stopped working.

Its been almost a week since it has gone down, and there is still no official comment from either Bandai Namco or FromSoftware. The only actual piece of information I could find about Dark Souls 1's technical troubles was a short tweet from a community manager, posted 5 days ago:

Goetia Is A Victorian Mystery/Adventure Where You Play As The Ghost Of A Young Lady

Goetia is a visually stunning point & click puzzler

Goetia is a dark, Victorian point & click adventure where you're placed in to the spectral form of Lady Abigail Blackwood, a young member of the once proud family that inhabited the majestic Blackwood Manor, now nothing more than an abandoned ruin.

It released a couple of days ago, and given how stunning the artwork and overall presentation are, I figured I would bring Goetia to your attention, starting with the trailer:
