[Update]: After nearly seven years in development, the System Shock Remake will finally be launching in March 2023!
Two decades have past since the original's release, and many months since the System Shock 1 Remaster has been announced, but now we finally have an official date that will mark the start of the Kickstarter campaign, June 31.
If you're worried this Kickstarter is going to be vaporware, or an opportunity for some unscrupulous individuals to cash on the public's nostalgia, worry no more as there was a pre-alpha gameplay video released in March, and it looked absolutely great! Overfall - Review for the final release version
- By Ash
- in Reviews
Overfall is a charming turn-based RPG with numerous roguelike elements and plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor that will task you with traveling across the high seas in search of worthy allies to stand with you against the tides of darkness that are fast approaching, by which I mean hordes of extremely pissed off alien vikings.
It launched in Early Access back in March, and after two months of hard work the developers have managed to improve Overfall on nearly all fronts. Everything from gameplay balance, to sound design, to the way you interact with and new unlock characters has been updated, and changed for the better. So now that all of the important work on Overfall has been completed, there remains only one question, is it any good?
Overfall Gameplay Showcase - Goblin quests and plenty of combat

Overfall is a charming turn-based RPG with plenty of roguelike elements mixed in, and most interestingly, a combat system that is both gorgeous to look at, and rather challenging to master.
It released in Early Access back in March, and after two months of hard work the developers have managed to improve their game on nearly every front, as you'll notice in the gameplay video below:
The Assassin's Creed movie has received its first official trailer

- in News
Its been known for a couple of years now that an Assassin's Creed movie is on the way, and we even had numerous pictures leaked from the set, but I do believe this is the first time we've ever gotten to see any actual footage.
If you were worried that this is going to follow the video game movie tradition and be absolute garbage I'm happy to say that from what little was shown in the trailer they've managed to nail both the atmosphere and the style of the series. Have a look for yourself:
Blueprint Tycoon is a rather relaxing 2D city building and resource management sim

Blueprint Tycoon is about as relaxing as a game can get when your entire goal is to work with razor thin profit margins in order to gather raw materials, transform them into complex goods, and then ship them to your contractor for sweet, sweet profit.
It appeared on Early Access in April, and throughout its relatively short stay it managed to gather a whole bunch of new feature, the most interesting of which is the Scenario Editor that allows you to create or download customized challenges, missions, and naturally blueprints for your game. Since all of this might be a bit confusing in words alone, here's the launch trailer:
Microsoft's Project Spark has been canceled
- By Ash
- in News
Project Spark is, or rather was Microsoft's game creation kit that boasted the ability to allow even the most ordinary layman to create their very own video game, which as you might expect came with some rather crippling limitations that ended up being its downfall.
While unfortunate, this shouldn't be surprising news to anyone that followed the project as it "transitioned from active development" last fall and was rarely mentioned ever since. Here's a 'brief' excerpt from the announcement message:
Total War: Warhammer's latest trailer showcases the destructive power of magic

After a short period of silence the Total War: Warhammer team is back once more, this time around with a gameplay video showcasing all of the ways you can use magic to turn the battle in your favor.
As you might expect there are plenty of ways to blow up, electrocute, or otherwise send your opponents into the next dimension, but also numerous ways to cripple or empower units, and even spells that just chuck a whole bunch of zombies at the enemy's back-line. Here's the video:
