Mafia 3's Release Date And Story Elements Have Been Announced
- By Ash
- in News
Mafia 3 is set in the open world of 1968 New Bordeaux, a city inspired by New Orleans and complete with era-appropriate cars, fashion, music, and naturally, dialect. You will be put in to the shoes of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam veteran and ex member of the black mob, a gang that ended up being betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia.
What follows next is a good old fashioned revenge story where Lincoln attempts to build his new empire atop the ashes of the old one, and carve his way through the ranks of those responsible for the betrayal of his surrogate family. In short, don't expect to see any upstanding citizens in Mafia 3. Here's the story trailer:
Dark Souls 1 Servers Are Having Technical Trouble, Multiplayer Is Offline

- in News
Right around the time Dark Souls 3 launched, the multiplayer portion of Dark Souls 1 started having bigger and bigger issues until it inevitably succumbed to the hollowing process, and just stopped working.
Its been almost a week since it has gone down, and there is still no official comment from either Bandai Namco or FromSoftware. The only actual piece of information I could find about Dark Souls 1's technical troubles was a short tweet from a community manager, posted 5 days ago:
Goetia Is A Victorian Mystery/Adventure Where You Play As The Ghost Of A Young Lady

- in Indie Games
Goetia is a dark, Victorian point & click adventure where you're placed in to the spectral form of Lady Abigail Blackwood, a young member of the once proud family that inhabited the majestic Blackwood Manor, now nothing more than an abandoned ruin.
It released a couple of days ago, and given how stunning the artwork and overall presentation are, I figured I would bring Goetia to your attention, starting with the trailer:

While this news shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone, I'm afraid to say that the Overwatch closed beta will be shutting down on April 25 in order to allow Blizzard enough time to prepare for the official launch.
This information comes from the latest Overwatch Developer Update in which Jeff Kaplan does a Christopher, Walken, impression, and shares some more information on what the Overwatch team is currently doing, as well as what the post-launch updates will bring. Have a look:
Free Rambo: The Video Game DLC Is Coming Today

- in News
I'll be perfectly honest, before seeing this announcement I didn't even know there was a Rambo video game out there, and after doing even a tiny bit of research on it I can see exactly why that was case... its just not very good.
However, the developers are well aware of their less-than stellar reputation, and have decided to release a free piece of DLC two years after the original launch of Rambo: The Video Game both as a much needed content update, as well as an apology to all of the Rambo fans that may have gotten burned. Here's the trailer and what exactly Baker Team brings to the table:
World Of Warcraft: Legion Will Release In August

- in News
If you thought the current content drought in World of Warcraft is annoying, I'm afraid I bring some bad news as World of Warcraft: Legion is set to release on August 30, which means everyone gets to enjoy the colors red and green for over a year without anything to break the monotony.
On the positive side, those that pre-order WoW: Legion ($50) will gain access to an instant level 100 boost, as well as early access to the Demon Hunter class prior to the expansion's release, though the date on which they will become available hasn't been announced yet.

Hitman's Paris level has been available for a bit over a month now, and while its an expertly crafted map filled with tons of ways to mess up execute your plans, I do believe the majority of players are now ready for a breath of fresh air.
And thankfully such a thing is coming in the near future as the Mediterranean 'Sapienza' expansion arrives on April 26. Here's the trailer, and a couple of newly released screenshots:
