The oldschool Castlevania inspired Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon has now arrived on Steam

[Update]: Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 has been announced, and it will star a corgi piloting a mech suit!
While the Symphony of the Night inspired Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is still under heavy development, the dev team behind it has now fulfilled one of their major Kickstarter stretch goals - the release of the spin-off game Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. As you might imagine given its influences, Curse of the Moon is a faithful sequel to the oldschool Castlevania games in everything but the name.
Rather than waste your time trying to describe all of the similarities, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It'll give you a pretty darn good idea of what Curse of the Moon is all about, and just how close it is to the Castlevania series in spirit. Have a gander, the video is adorably cheesy:
Overwatch dev has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Doomfist's hero select animation

I'm sure that many of you have wondered why the Overwatch team just doesn't seem to introduce a lot of highlight intros, unique emotes, and other such animations. Well, the reason is that creating even the most simple of animations is an extremely skill-intensive and time-consuming process, probably even more so than you might imagine.
If you're curious about what exactly goes into creating an Overwatch animation, as well as how long the whole process usually takes, you might be interested to hear that Overwatch's animator David Gibson has now posted a video showing off how he created Doomfist's hero select animation. Have a look, the video is quite fascinating:
Ubisoft's naval action-adventure Skull & Bones has been delayed until 2019

[Update]: Skull and Bones has been delayed yet again, though this time we have an actual release date - March 9th, 2023!
With the recently released Sea of Thieves quickly losing the wind in its sales, its probably for the best that Ubisoft has now announced that their naval action game Skull & Bones is getting delayed. Originally Skull & Bones was supposed to launch in the fall of 2018, but according to the latest earnings reports the release date has been pushed back to 2019.
As for the reason behind the delay, the report simply states that "Ubisoft has decided to give itself more time to develop Skull & Bones to offer players an even more engaging experience." To be perfectly honest, that's probably for the best because I don't think anyone really wants to see another mediocre naval action-adventure. After all, there is a decent amount of potential in Skull & Bones, so hopefully Ubisoft will manage to create something truly special here.
Total War: Warhammer 2 devs have detailed the upcoming changes to the Dwarfs

[Update] The patch is now live. You can find the full patch notes, as well as more about the accompanying "The Queen and the Crone" DLC over here.
After a bit of a hiatus, Total War: Warhammer 2 will soon be getting a whole bunch of new content. The Queen and the Crone DLC will bring with it two new Legendary Lords and a whole host of additional units, the Alith Anar free DLC will add yet another Legendary Lord to toy around with, Norsca will finally become available in the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaign, and last but not least, the Dwarfs will be getting a bunch of changes to make them a lot more interesting.
The first and more exciting change is that Ungrim Ironfirst will now be starting from Karak Kadrin, the Slayers Keep. Given the presence of the Great Slayer Shrine I'm sure it won't come as much of a surprise to hear that Ungrim will be able to recruit Slayers (likely including the new Giant Slayers) from the very beginning, but what you might not expect is that Ungrim will also come with the ability to settle in Frozen climates. So if you're up for a bit of diversity in your Dwarf campaign, build up your armies and head north to liberate Kraka Drak, and eventually even the whole of Norsca!
Cities: Skylines' Parklife DLC has now arrived with amusement parks, zoos and nature reserves

Instead of giving you a bunch of new buildings and transport systems to toy around with, Cities: Skylines' latest expansion has taken things in a bit of a different direction. As you can probably guess from the name alone, the Parklife DLC gives you the ability to freshen up your city through the addition of amusement parks, nature reserves, city parks, gardens, zoos, and the list goes on. These appear to be relatively minor additions, but from what I've seen so far they really go a long way towards making your city feel a lot more lively.
If you're wondering what all of this looks like in-game, however, wonder no more as the developers have recently posted a brief launch trailer. It's not the most detailed video around, but it'll give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from the new Parklife DLC. Have a gander:
Overwatch is having a free weekend on both PC and consoles until Monday, May 28th

If you ever wanted to give Overwatch a try, now would be a perfect time to do so. The recently introduced Anniversary 2018 update has brought in an absolute ton of new and old cosmetics, as well as all of the previous seasonal events, including both PvE and PvP game modes. So whether you're a fan of wacky game modes or just good ol' competitive play, the current version of Overwatch has you covered.
The most important reason, however, is the simple fact that Overwatch is having a free weekend on both PC and consoles until Monday, May 28th. Besides the above mentioned Anniversary 2018 update, the free weekend will give you access to all 18 of the currently available maps, all 27 of the heroes, all of the cosmetic loot boxes, and naturally, all of the game modes. Long story short, you will have access to everything Overwatch has to offer, with the only exception being the competitive mode, for obvious reasons.
The Wolf Among Us 2 has been delayed to 2019 as Telltale wishes to "focus on quality"

[Update]: Development on The Wolf Among Us 2 has started once again despite Telltale shutting down!
While Telltale has created some of the most interesting and compelling narrative-driven games out there, they have unfortunately also fallen into the trap of thinking 'more is better', which has resulted in some thoroughly mediocre games like the Games of Thrones series. With that in mind, I am more than happy to announce that The Wolf Among Us 2 has now been delayed to 2019 as Telltale wishes to focus on quality above all else.
"This delay comes as the result of a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer," reads the brief announcement. "Most importantly, we're committed to exploring new ways to tell our stories. Taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special."
