Slay the Spire artwork showing off the Defect

After spending a fair bit of time in open beta, Slay the Spire's three new enemies have now arrived onto the live version, though not without some changes. Most notably, the fireball-spawning Flame Bruiser has been replaced with a ridiculously over-the-top Reptomancer that seems to be wearing Sneko themed pajamas. They're pretty much the same enemy as far as gameplay mechanics are concerned, but I guess the devs found the Reptomancer to be much more memorable and entertaining to fight.

As is tradition, the update has also added a couple of new relics to toy around with, as well as rebalanced the rarity of some of them. The Red Skull is now common, the Singing Bowl uncommon, Tough Bandages are now Rare, and perhaps most interestingly of all, the Twisted Funnel is now exclusive to the Silent. Depending on how frequently it drops, it might just make more poison-based cards worth grabbing outside of a few and very specific deck types.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the long-awaited Endless Mode has been added as a modifier in the Custom Mode. So if you're looking to see just how ridiculous your deck can become, give the Endless Mode a try! On the other hand, if you're looking for a bit of a challenge and you don't have the time for the Endless Mode, you might be interested to hear that Blight Chests have also been included as a new Custom Mode option that gives you unavoidable blights when opening boss chests.

You can read more about all these changes, as well as check out the full patch notes, over at Steam. Have fun, and beware the Transient if you're running a defensive build!
