World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth official artwork and logo

World of Warcraft's Battle for Azeroth expansion is set to launch on August 14th, so in order to get everyone up to speed Blizzard will be releasing the much-anticipated pre-expansion Patch 8.0 next week. To be more specific, Patch 8.0 will be coming this July 17th alongside new PvP talents and the War Mode, cross-realm Communities that function like more focused guilds, a gigantic stat-squish that will make your damage and health a lot easier to comprehend, and the list goes on.

There are far too many changes to cover in detail, but if you're interested in a brief summary of the major features you'll find the official "Survival Guide" right below. It's brief and to the point, so I'd highly recommend you check it out:

I also feel it's important to let you know that the Mage Tower's cosmetic rewards will no longer be obtainable once the pre-patch arrives. So if you're interested in looking fancy, make sure to head on over to the Mage Tower and at least give it a couple of tries. If you find it too difficult, consider purchasing some cheap BoE items from the auction house as players are currently trying to get ride of them at any cost before the Battle for Azeroth expansion makes them obsolete.

For those of you without much gold to your names, worry not as you can beat these challenges through skill and perseverance alone. It's really all about understanding the fight and how to counter everything the bosses throw at you. You can find my detailed guide for the Havoc Demon Hunter challenge over here, and I'm sure all of the other ones have plenty of guides out there as well.

Good luck, and make sure not to give up if you fail a couple of times as that's only part of the process!
