[Update]: Risk of Rain 2's very first content update is coming on June 25th!
Risk of Rain 2, much like its precedessor, is a multiplayer-focused roguelike that will have you face off against increasingly more difficult monsters with a variety of passive boosts, abilities and items. However, unlike the original, Risk of Rain 2 is entirely in 3D, which makes navigating the large levels and dodging the hordes of enemies a significantly more interesting and tricky process.
If you're wondering how all of this translates into actual gameplay, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it'll give you a good idea of what Risk of Rain 2 is really all about:
Guild Wars 2 studio ArenaNet has now announced their plans for the future

ArenaNet and Guild Wars 2 have recently been hit by a rather large amount of layoffs, around a hundred people in total. As you might imagine, this caused quite a bit of chaos within ArenaNet, as well as put the future of Guild Wars 2 into question.
In order to address these concerns and showcase what exactly they're working on, the Guild Wars 2 developers have now announced their plans for the future. The details are obviously lacking as ArenaNet doesn't want to commit to anything specific just yet, but thankfully it does appear that Guild Wars 2 will continue chugging along quite nicely.

[Update #2]: Borderlands 2 has just received a hefty new free DLC to help bridge the gap with Borderlands 2!
[Update]: Gearbox has released a brand new preview showing off two of the new playable characters!
After well over a year of rumors, Borderlands 3 has finally been officially announced last week. While the details are still few and far between, the lengthy gameplay trailer showed off what feels like a natural evolution of Borderlands 2, and perhaps most importantly, guns running around on tiny little legs!
Gearbox has still not spilled the beans on what exactly Borderlands 3 will be about, but on the positive side, they have now announced the release date. According to the latest preview, Borderlands 3 will be coming to PC and consoles on September 13, 2019. The PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for six months, after which it will become available on Steam and other storefronts.
Overwatch's newest hero Baptiste is now fully available in Competitive Play

Overwatch's newest support hero Baptsite arrived onto the live servers two weeks ago, bringing with him a whole bunch of quality balance changes and bug fixes. Much like the previous hero and map releases, Baptiste was initially available only in the non-competitive game modes, all in an effort to avoid the classic Overwatch problem of people picking a hero they know literally nothing about and then throwing the game because of it.
The two week lockout period has now come and gone, however, which means that Baptiste is now fully available in Competitive Play as well. So if you've been away for a little while, make sure to check out what exactly Baptsite does before you queue up, especially considering how strong his immortality field is when nobody actually focuses on it!
The 'banana republic simulator' Tropico 6 has now arrived for Windows PC and Linux

Tropico 6, as you would expect from the title alone, is a 'banana republic simulator' that gives you total control over a small island nation. What happens next is going to be entirely up to your playstlye. You can turn your lovely island nation into a dictatorship whose entire goal is to scrounge up as much money as possible through illegal goods, you can play it completely straight and just pretend you're a small colony of a giant empire, or you can just strike off on your own and attempt to create a veritable utopia for your people.
If you're wondering how all of this might look like in gameplay terms, however, allow me to share with you one of the most recent trailers. It should give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from Tropico 6. Have a peek:
Total War: Warhammer 2's next DLC will beef up the Skaven, Lizardmen and Bretonnia factions

[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 2's next DLC, The Hunter & The Beast, will be greatly improving the Empire faction, as well as adding some lovely new units for the Lizardmen!
It has been quite a while since Total War: Warhammer 2's previous DLC, but I am glad to say that the wait has not been in vein as the upcoming The Prophet & The Warlock DLC appears to be rock solid. The Prophet & The Warlock will bring with it two new Legendary lords with their own unique skill trees and items, Clan Skrye (Skaven) and the Cult of Sotek (Lizardmen) factions with brand new campaign mechanics and playstyles, a variety of new units including the Ratling Gun Weapon Teams and Ancient Salamanders, and the list goes on for a while.
Since trying to explain all of this through words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer that also serves as a bit of a Predator parody. Have a gander, it's a fun one:
Apex Legends has now finally added the "Stay as Squad" option
- By Ash

The Apex Legends ping system is so brilliant that I've found myself trying to use it in just about every multiplayer game since. It's simple, it gets the point across without the need for any words, and most importantly, it's both easy and fast to do - perfect for when you're stuck in the middle of a firefight.
Given how much effort went into the ping system, one might expect that the entirety of Apex Legends has been designed with facilitating squad-play in mind, but unfortunately that's not the case. Adding people to your friends list is such a minor event that most players don't even notice the prompt, there is no real looking-for-group system, and up until recently there was also no simple way to stay together with a random team.
