If you've Kickstarted Kentucky Route Zero all the way back in the ancient times of 2011, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. It may have taken quite a while, but the fifth episode has now been released in full. In other words, Kentucky Route Zero is finally complete!
For those of you that haven't played, or even heard about Kentucky Route Zero, it's probably best explained as a highly atmospheric and often experimental adventure game. It's one of those games where you want to shut yourself off from the outside world, cuddle up with a warm coffee, and just play through it an episode at a time. Kentucky Route Zero really is quite an experience, especially if you're a fan of story-heavy games.

[Update]: Apex Legends' Season 4 has now arrived alongside a bunch of new content and balance changes.
Assimilation, Apex Legends' massive Season 4 update, is set to arrive later today (February 4th). It'll bring with it the deadly Revenant as a new legend, a new battle pass filled with a whole bunch of flashy cosmetics, a new bolt-action sniper rifle, and most importantly of all, drastic changes to the World's Edge map.
You can get a bit of an idea of what all of this looks like in action, as well as what Revenant's abilities might be, through the recently posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun video:
Warcraft 3: Reforged devs have now addressed some of the community concerns

[Update]: Blizzard has now started offering full refunds for Warcraft 3: Reforged, though it's unclear how long this offer will last.
After a lengthy beta test, Warcraft 3: Reforged released a short while ago. Unfortunately, instead of getting a whole new generation of players hooked onto Warcraft 3, Reforged launched with quite a few problems and missing features.
While the model quality for the newly updated units is fairly solid, the art style isn't exactly consistent so certain characters just look a bit... off. There are also problems with the performance with multiplayer matches occasionally stuttering for no reason, and there is also a noticeable lack of community-focused features like profiles, tournaments and leaderboards. So as you might imagine, the Warcraft 3 community isn't exactly happy with Blizzard right now.
Torchlight Frontiers has been heavily redesigned and will be releasing as Torchlight 3

[Update]: After only a few months in Early Access, Torchlight 3 has now been unleashed onto PC and consoles.
Torchlight Frontiers was originally supposed to be a free-to-play action RPG following in the footsteps of the first two Torchlight games. However, if the feedback coming from the closed test is any indicator, Torchlight Frontiers was a bit unfocused and just not all that fun to actually play.
As such, I am very happy to say that Torchlight Frontiers is getting heavily redesigned and subsequently rebranded as Torchlight 3. Besides simply swapping the name, Torchlight 3 will be a paid game with no in-game microtransactions, and will feature a more classic Act structure like the previous games. Most importantly of all, you'll be able to play both offline and online, though your offline characters won't be able to go online due to obvious concerns about cheating.

[Update #2]: Sam's Story DLC has now been released, and it seems to be a fair bit larger than its predecessor.
[Update]: Metro Exodus will be coming back to Steam on February 15th, one day after the exclusivity deal expires.
If you've finished up Metro Exodus and you're now left yearning for more, you'll be glad to hear that the second-story focused expansion will be arriving this February 11th. Much like the first expansion, Sam's Story will not be focusing on the series' protagonist Artyom, but rather on a brand new character - Sam, a lone US marine desperately searching for a way back home.
"Sam has long dreamed of returning to his homeland, and maybe finding his family alive," reads the brief description. "The prospect seemed impossible in the darkened tunnels of the Metro, but when the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, holding out hope didn’t feel so foolish anymore."

[Update]: Square Enix has now released the lengthy cinematic intro for the Final Fantasy VII remake.
The remake of the classic JRPG Final Fantasy VII will be making its way to the PlayStation 4 this March 3rd. However, according to its recently revealed box, Final Fantasy VII is only going to be a timed exclusive for the PS4. In other words, it's very likely that Final Fantasy VII will arrive onto PC and Xbox One at some point in 2021.
Continuing on with the good news, Square Enix has now also revealed a brand new gameplay trailer that highlights the updated storyline, characters and voice acting. Have a gander, there's a lot of new gameplay footage:
PC version of Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne will achieve parity with consoles in April, 2020

[Update]: The first of these updates has arrived, bringing with it the Resident Evil 2 cross-over event and Rajang to the PC version.
After quite a long wait since the release of the consoles versions, Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne finally arrived onto PC a little while ago. Besides some unfortunate technical problems, the PC version also ended up with a noticeably lower amount of content than its counterparts, all because of the updates that were released post-launch.
Thankfully, it seems that we won't be getting a repeat of the Monster Hunter: World scenario where the PC version was permanently behind on both features and monsters. According to the newly released roadmap, the PC and console versions will be achieving parity this April!
