Pokemon inspired MMO TemTem is coming to Steam Early Access in January, 2020

[Update #2]: After two years in Early Access, Temtem will finally be launching onto PC and consoles in September 2022.
[Update]: Temtem has now landed onto Steam Early Access.
Despite the Pokemon games being an absolutely gigantic success, the series has unfortunately never evolved past its original form. So even though the TV show is all about a group of trainers roaming the world and discovering strange new Pokemon, the games themselves are a surprisingly solitary experience. A real shame since the all of the Pokemon games seem like they would be an absolutely perfect fit for co-op.
This is where TemTem comes in as on the surface it appears to be exactly that: a creature collecting and battling RPG with a heavy focus on player-to-player interactions and even co-op! If you're like me that might sound a bit too good to be true, so allow me to share with you the recently posted gameplay trailer:
Total War: Warhammer 2's next update will improve end-turn times by well over 60%

[Update]: The Shadow & The Blade DLC and its accompanying update have now arrived, and so far they have been quite amazing!
The Shadow & The Blade DLC will be coming to Total War: Warhammer 2 this December 12th with Malus Darkblade and Deathmaster Snikch in tow. However, as exciting as the DLC may be, it is the accompanying free update that will have the biggest impact on Total War: Warhammer 2 as a whole.
After spending months optimizing the code, Creative Assembly has managed to speed up end-turn times by well over sixty percent. Naturally, the amount of time you save each turn will greatly depend on the power of your CPU, but from all of the previews we've seen so far, the difference has been absolutely staggering! Best of all, this has been achieved without any shortcuts or sacrifices, so the whole campaign experience will remain pretty much exactly the same... just a lot faster.
Gwent's Merchants of Ofir expansion has now brought in more than 70 new cards

When Gwent first released things were looking a bit shaky as the balance was all over the place and CDPR still unsure about the direction they wanted to take the gameplay in. Luckily, instead of folding like so many card games before it, Gwent has overcome these initial hurdles and now settled into a rather nice position, both in terms of balance and content updates.
And what better way to continue that trend than with a brand new expansion, which is where the freshly revealed Merchants of Ofir comes into play! Here's a brief teaser showing what to expect:
Beyond a Steel Sky, sequel to the classic Beneath a Steel Sky, has been delayed into 2020

[Update]: Beyond a Steel Sky has now been unleashed alongside some fairly positive reviews.
For those of you that might be a bit younger, or simply managed to miss it entirely, Beneath the Steel Sky is a thoroughly enjoyable (and completely free) point and click adventure from 1994. While its puzzles are a tad archaic given its age, it is the atmosphere and storytelling that have cemented Beneath the Steel Sky's place as a true classic to this very day.
With that in mind, you might be interested to hear that there is a brand new sequel on the way - Beyond a Steel Sky. However, you'll have to wait a little while for it to arrive as the developers have just announced that they are delaying Beyond a Steel Sky into 2020. The reason, as always, is to ensure that things are as polished as they can possibly be.
Dead Cells' The Bad Seed DLC is bringing in two new levels and a boss

[Update #2]: The Bad Seed DLC has now arrived, and so far it has received some pretty good reviews across the board.
[Update]: The Bad Seed's latest preview has shown off the new enemies, items and boss, as well as finally revealed the release date.
If you've managed to complete every challenge Dead Cells' has placed in front of you and you're still eager for more, you might be glad to hear that the developers have now announced the very first DLC. The Bad Seed DLC will bring with it two new levels to play through (the Arboretum and the Swamp), as well as a brand new boss called 'Mama Tick' that will share quite a few features with its Starship Troopers counterpart.
While the recently posted teaser trailer doesn't offer much in terms of details, it will give you a little bit of a sneak peek at one of the new zones. Have a gander:
Development on The Elder Scrolls: Legends has now been put on hold

Despite having some pretty neat ideas and The Elder Scrolls tag behind it, it would appear that The Elder Scrolls: Legends has not managed to maintain a large enough playerbase to continue development. As such, I'm afraid that any future content releases have now been put on hold.
"Until then, you can still download and play Legends on all existing platforms and compete online as well as in the single-player modes," reads the official update. "We will also continue to support the game with monthly reward cards and regular in-game events. New expansions and other future content, however, are no longer under active development. We will continue to provide ongoing maintenance support."
Darksiders Genesis, a hack and slash spin-off, has now made its way to PC

After Darksiders 3 ended up being a success, it was fairly obvious that Darksiders 4 will be following at some point in the future in order to tell the story of the final horseman - Strife. However, what might come as quite a surprise is that not only has Strife's game arrived far sooner than anyone could've expected, but that it's also a top-down, hack and slash spin-off with an option for co-op!
While that description can usually be read as "Diablo clone", it doesn't exactly apply here as the newly released Darksiders Genesis is pretty much a Darksiders game, just with a slightly different playstyle. You'll still be exploring the world in search of secrets, solving a variety of puzzles in order to open up new areas, collecting ability upgrades to help you smash through enemies, and naturally, beating up an assortment of demons and angels.
