[Update #2]: Metro Exodus' free PC Enhanced Edition will be launching on May 6, 2021!

Metro Exodus' second narrative-focused expansion, Sam's Story, has now made its way to both PC and consoles. It brings with it a lengthy singleplayer campaign focused not on Artyom, but rather on the lone US marine Sam that's desperately trying to make his way back home. Needless to say, things don't exactly go as planned for poor ol' Sam!

You can get a bit of an idea of what Sam's Story is all about, as well as what sort of locations you'll get to visit, through the recently posted trailers. Have a gander, it's quite an atmospheric one:

Much like the previous DLC, Sam's Story is available for 'free' to anyone that owns the Season Pass. If you decide to buy it on its own, however, it'll set you back $18, which is significantly more than the first DLC. That said, Sam's Story is a fair bit longer than its predecessor, so the price difference really isn't that bad when you consider the amount of content found in each DLC.

It's also worth mentioning that Metro Exodus and both of its DLCs will be coming back to Steam on February 15th. So if you've been playing since the beginning and you want the whole series to be in one place, you'll only have to wait for a few more days.

You can learn a little bit more about Sam's Story, as well as potentially grab yourself a copy, over at the official website. Have fun!
