Dungeon Defenders Awakened has now made its way to Steam Early Access

The original Dungeon Defenders was and still is a pretty awesome game. Despite being the developers' very first major title, it managed to nail a nearly perfect balance between face-smashing difficulty and care-free fun. Dungeons Defenders 2 tried to further improved upon the idea, but unfortunately, it missed the mark somewhat and the series started a slow but steady decline.
There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon, however, as Dungeon Defenders Awakened has now landed onto Steam Early Access. Much like the original, Awakened is a co-op focused tower defense game that's all about mowing down hundreds of enemies through the use of towers, traps, blockades, and naturally, your own weaponry.
Call of Cthulhu and Styx developers are working on a new roguelike strategy game - Rogue Lords

- in News
I don't know what exactly has happened over the past year or so, but there are suddenly a whole bunch of different roguelike strategy games being released or announced, and I couldn't be happier about it! The latest addition to this ever-growing pile is the freshly announced Rogue Lords, a turn-based roguelike developed by Call of Cthulhu and Styx developer Cyanide.
The action in Rogue Lords takes place in 17th century New England where instead of playing as the good guys, you'll be taking control of a variety of high-profile bad guys in order to sow as much chaos throughout the lands as possible. The full list hasn't been announced just yet, but expect to see some colorful characters given that Bloody Mary, Dracula, the White Lady and Baron Samedi have been confirmed so far.
Ultimate Chicken Horse update is adding a skateboarding snake and two new levels

- in Indie Games
[Update]: The aptly named A-cobra-tic content update has now gone live.
Ultimate Chicken Horse, as the name would obviously suggest, is a multiplayer-focused platformer that's all about trying to sabotage your friends while avoiding the same fate yourself. So as you play the levels, you and your friends will have a chance to add a variety of deadly traps and hazards, all in an effort to be the only one that reaches the end and giggles at everyone else's misfortune.
If that sounds like time well spent, then you'll be glad to hear that there is a major update coming this March 12th. It's bringing with it a skateboarding snake as a new playable character, two new levels to flung your friends into pits from, as well as four dastardly weapons to utilize: Flamethrower, One-Way Gate, Cannon & Beehive.
DreadOut 2 is a survival horror game inspired by Asian folklore and urban legends
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
The original DreadOut released back in 2014 to a good bit of excitement and some fairly mixed reviews. The concept itself was pretty solid, as was the idea of focusing on the lesser-seen horror themes from Asian folklore and urban legends, but the actual execution left a lot to be desired. To put it simply, DreadOut was just a little bit too clunky.
Quite a few years have past since then, and developer Digital Happiness has now returned to give the whole thing another try with DreadOut 2. Much like its predecessor, DreadOut 2 is a survival-horror game with action elements, adventure game exploration, and even more Asian/Indonesian horror to dig into.
Minecraft: Dungeons' latest dev update is all about the various environments and levels

[Update #2]: Minecraft: Dungeons has now landed onto both PC and consoles, and so far it seems to be pretty solid!
[Update]: The release date for Minecraft: Dungeons has been pushed back from April to May 26th on all platforms.
Minecraft: Dungeons is an upcoming action-adventure inspired by classic dungeon-crawlers. As you might expect from that alone, Minecraft: Dungeons is all about roaming across a variety of levels in search of secrets, beating down hordes of monsters to fill your pockets with more shiny loot than you could possibly know what to do with, as well as saving the world if there's time to spare after dinner.
When it comes to the levels themselves, you can get a pretty good idea of what Mojang has cooked up through the recently posted developer update. Have a peek, it's a pretty fun one:
Time-bending shooter Quantum League has now entered Open Beta

[Update]: Quantum League has now been released, and so far it's looking quite good.
If you're looking for a bit of an unusual competitive experience, you might want to check out Quantum League and it's newly launched Open Beta. To put it simply, Quantum League has you play multiple rounds against your opponent while stuck in a time loop, with each new round representing a diverging timeline. So once you're past the initial round, you'll be able to team up with your past self in order to counter what got you killed in the first place, as well as hopefully prevent your opponent from creating an even bigger advantage.
All of this sounds a lot more complicated than it really is, so allow me to share with you the recently posted cinematic trailer. It should get the point across quite nicely. Have a gander:
Division 2's Warlords of New York is set to arrive in early March for both PC and consoles

[Update]: The Warlords of New York expansion is now live across both PC and consoles.
If you're looking for an excuse to dive back into The Division 2, or simply more content to play around with, I'm sure you'll be interested to hear that the Warlords of New York expansion is coming this March 3rd. The big threat this time around with be the former Division agent Aaron Keener and his network of rogue agents, all of which you'll need to dismantle as you roam across the hurricane-stricken streets of Lower Manhattan.
Naturally, taking down Keener will not be as simple as waltzing into his stronghold and having a big ol' firefight. First you'll need to get rid of all of his main agents, each of which will have their own unique storylines and special skill, which you'll then be able to learn once you defeat them. There'll also be a variety of improvements to the gearing system, a slight UI overhaul, a rework of Dark Zones to better reward player-vs-player interactions, and the list goes on.
