[Update]: Warcraft 3: Reforged devs have shared a preview of the upcoming Player Profiles.
While Warcraft 3: Reforged has been a bit of a disappointment, there is still hope for it. After all, the base gameplay is still the amazing Warcraft 3 action many of us fell in love with years ago, so as long as Blizzard doesn't give up on it, Warcraft 3 really does have a chance to shine once more.
With that in mind, I'm quite pleased to say Blizzard has now unleashed an absolutely massive balance patch onto the PTR. The experimental update brings with it changes to some of the least used heroes and ultimates, as well as offers a comprehensive rebalance of mercenary camps and the units they sell to the players.
Needless to say, the list is far too long to summarize in brief. So if you're curious about the details, you can check out the full patch notes, as well as learn how you can play on the PTR yourself, over at the WC3 forums.
While I'm in no way qualified to say whether these balance changes are going to have the desired effect or not, I'm glad that Blizzard is not only willing to do some drastic changes when necessary, but also completely roll back previous tweaks if they were found to be harmful. Also, let's not ignore that they've just addressed the most pressing of concerns - the curious case of disappearing raccoons. Now that is truly going to change the neutral critter meta!
Silliness aside, you can learn more about Warcraft 3: Reforged, as well as keep an eye on how the updates are progressing, over at the official website.
