Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will soon allow you to uninstall parts of the game on PC

[Update #2]: The newest Call of Duty game, Black Ops Cold War, has now been unleashed alongside a surprisingly good singleplayer campaign.

[Update]: Fortnite has now followed suite by reducing its PC install size by around 60GB!

While most games require a lot more space on the disk that they have in the past, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is taking things to an absurd level. With all of the updates and game modes combined, the install size is well over 200 gigabytes! This not only makes it a nightmare to keep installed on your SSD, but also to download as 200 GB is no laughing matter for most Internet connections.

With all of that in mind, I am very happy to say that Modern Warfare is now looking to make things at least slightly better on PC. Once the next update arrives, you'll be able to uninstall parts of the game in order to save precious space and hopefully be in a position where you can have a grand total of two games installed on your SSD at once!

Valorant's new animal-focused Agent Skye is looking to be an absolute powerhouse

[Update #2]: Valorant has pulled back the recent Update 1.11 due to massive technical issues.

[Update]: Valorant's Act 3 update has now brought in the very first new map - Icebox.

When it comes to brand new Valorant content, I bring both good and bad news. The good news is that we'll be getting a brand new Agent and map this month, while the bad news would be that even though the Icebox map will arrive on October 13th, the new Agent Skye will only follow two weeks later, on October 27th.

The reasoning, as you might imagine, is that Riot wants everyone to adjust to the new map before throwing in Skye and shaking things up all over again. And judging by her abilities, that's probably a good thing because Skye really does have it all!

[Update]: Planetside 2's January 2022 update has brought in the new continent of Oshur and underwater-based gameplay!

After being mostly stagnant for quite a few years, Planetside 2 has undergone a rather impressive transformation these past few months. Not only are the updates far more frequent than before, but they are also far larger in scope and consequently far more enjoyable to mess around with. After all, who is going to grumble about massive fleet carriers and chunky five-player tanks?

While the most recent update, The Shattered Warpgate, does not bring with it another gigantic vehicle, it more than compensates for that with the sheer amount of content. First and foremost, The Shattered Warpgate has added a story-focused campaign that will have your undertake unique, lore-driven missions while battling it out with your fellow players.

If you're in the mood for a survival and crafting focused experience, you might want to give Team17's newly launched The Survivalists a closer look. As the name would suggest, The Survivalists is a survival sandbox game where you'll need to explore a strange land, scavenge for resources, craft a variety of gizmos to make life easier, and mostly just make a mess of things with your monkey posse.

What all of that looks like in action, however, that you can find out through the freshly posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it's a rather brief one:

[Update #2]: Ubisoft's Watch Dogs Legion has now been unleashed onto PC and consoles.

[Update]: Ubisoft has now detailed the PC system requirements for Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Watch Dogs: Legion will be coming to PC and consoles this October 29th, bringing with it a variety of improvements over its predecessor. And where there are major improvements, you can almost guarantee that there are also going to be increased system requirements, which is why you might be interested to hear that Ubisoft has now detailed just that.

However, instead of releasing the usual list and calling it a day, Ubisoft has decided to split the requirements into two distinct categories: ray tracing off and ray tracing on. Since the difference between them is fairly large, especially at the lower settings, you'll find both sets right below:

Two weeks after the previous ban, MTG Arena has now thrown out the dreaded Omnath

Omnath, Locus of Creation official alt-artwork

[Update #2]: Omnath is back! Thanks to the new Alchemy format, Omnath has been unbanned, rebalanced and even subsequently buffed!

[Update]: The day has finally come, Uro and Omnath have been fully banned from Historic play!

To say that MTG Arena ran into some balance problems after the release of the Zendikar Rising set would be quite an understatement. Even after banning the nigh-omnipresent Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath, his big brother Omnath, Locus of Creation simply stepped in to fill the gap. Things got so bad that even decks that were specifically engineered to counter Omnath ended up failing miserably in the most recent tournament, with the final four matches being just an endless parade of Omnaths fighting Omnaths.

And so, in an announcement that should come as absolutely no surprise, Wizards of the Coast has now banned Omnath in Standard and Brawl game modes, while also suspending him in Historic. To further ensure the meta doesn't spiral from one overpowered deck to another, Lucky Clover and Escape to the Wilds have also been banned from Standard play.

Overwatch's Halloween event is landing this October 13th alongside some truly awesome new skins

Overwatch Halloween Terror D.Va fox skin with cat ears

[Update]: Overwatch's Halloween Terror 2020 event has arrived alongside an assortment of awesome cosmetics, as well as the Soldier 76 weapon rework!

With the spookiest month of the year now nearly halfway through, it should come as no surprise to hear that Blizzard has now announced the next arrival of the annual Halloween Terror event. You can expect to see it this October 13th alongside a whole host of awesome new cosmetics, and if we're lucky, a balance focused update that will rework how Soldier 76's rifle functions.

While not all of the cosmetics have been announced so far, the ones revealed through Twitter have been genuinely impressive. So impressive, in fact, that I feel really bad for D.Va players right about now. They've only recently received an amazing new legendary skin, and already the Halloween event is upping the ante!
