[Update]: Stardew Valley's freshly launched Update 1.5 is the biggest the game has ever seen!

Despite releasing all the way back in 2016, Stardew Valley has steadily been adding heaps and heaps of new content and quality of life improvements. For example, last year's Update 1.4 brought a lot of new heart events to help flesh out your love interests, added the ability to raise fish, introduced a social tab to help keep track of your fellow villagers, and the list goes on for a while.

With all of that in mind, I'm rather delighted to say that Stardew Valley will soon be getting yet another one of these chunky content patches! While the full list of changes is still shrouded in mystery, Update 1.5 will bring with it one very often requested feature - splitscreen co-op!

Much like the rest of the Update 1.5, the exact details behind splitscreen co-op are still few and far between. What I can tell you, however, is that splitscreen will be available on both PC and consoles. PC players will be able to divide their screens into four parts, while some consoles might be limited to two, though this is by no means confirmed just yet.

You can also expect to see a new type of tree from Update 1.5, the ability to move your bed around in order to better decorate your house, as well as a mysterious feature that will even further beef up the endgame. What exactly that mystery might be, I'm afraid we'll just have to wait and see.

Once Update 1.5 gets properly revealed I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can keep an eye on Stardew Valley's progress over at the official website.
