[Update #2]: No Man's Sky's Sentinel update has overhauled combat, added new robotic AI companions, tweaked a variety of visual effects, and the list goes on for a while.

[Update]: No Man’s Sky's latest Prism update has brought in a massive amount of visual improvements.

Continuing with their plan of improving just about every aspect of No Man's Sky, Hello Games have now released the rather massive Expeditions update. As you might expect, at the forefront of the update are the titular Expeditions which function as a brand new game mode that offers unique rewards and challenges.

These Expeditions always start from a fixed point in the universe, which is perfect for meeting up with fellow travelers and teaming up in order to brave whatever lies ahead. Each Expedition is made out of multiple Milestones which can range from fairly simple to incredibly difficult. All of them can be tackled in any order and will test your skills at every aspect of No Man's Sky, with the end reward usually being some sort of major upgrade or a nifty cosmetic.

[Update]: Humankind has now launched onto PC, and while a little bit buggy it's already looking pretty solid.

If you were hoping to get your hands on Amplitude's massive turn-based strategy Humankind this April, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. According to a recent update, the release date for Humankind has now been pushed back until August 17, 2021 due to the developers needing a bit more time to tweak things around based on player feedback from the recent test.

"In the weeks since the Lucy OpenDev, we've been reading a lot of feedback," explains the developer update. "While many players told us they see great potential in Humankind, they also offered a lot of constructive criticism, and often expressed concern if the game could live up to this potential in the time until release. [Update]: Overwatch Archives 2021 has now arrived, and sadly the new mission challenges are pretty disappointing.

It seems that Blizzard has completely given up on teasers for their Overwatch events. With some of the previous ones they'd showcase a brand new skin each day for an entire week leading up to the launch date, whereas these days it's more like "BAM, here's an event!"

Not only that, but the amount of time between the announcement and the event itself is getting shorter. As such, you might be both surprised and pleased to hear that the annual Archives event is launching in exactly two days, on April 6th!

[Update #2]: The spell-focused Strixhaven expansion has now arrived, and as expected, the draft format is delightful!

[Update]: MTG Arena is reducing the best-of-one sideboard size from 15 to 7 cards with the launch of Strixhaven.

MTG Arena will be getting the heavily spell-infused Strixhaven expansion on April 15, 2021. As you might expect by now, Strixhaven will bring with it a whole host of new cards to play around with, most of which will be themed after the five magical colleges: Lorehold (Red/White), Prismari (Blue/Red), Quandrix (Green/Blue), Silverquill (Black/White), and Witherbloom (Black/Green).

If you're curious what exactly these cards have to offer, as well as sort of theme each of the five colleges will focus on, you'll be happy to hear that Wizards of the Coast has now finally revealed every single card! You can check them out over at the Strixhaven image gallery.

[Update]: After two years in Early Access, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord will be unleashed on October 25th, 2022.

After spending a considerable amount of time in development, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord finally released onto Steam Early Access on March 30, 2020. Since then the TaleWorlds team has launched a whole bunch of content updates and bugfixes, slowly but surely tweaking just about everything from combat to performance.

That long journey might soon be coming to an end, however, as TaleWorlds have now announced that they are planning to release Mount & Blade 2 in Q4 2021. That said, this is only a tentative release date and if it's deemed that Mount & Blade 2 needs a little bit of extra time, they will absolutely push the release date back for as long as necessary.

While it's a little bit late to the party, Outriders is a co-op focused looter shooter from the team behind Bulletstorm and Painkiller. In Outriders you will have a choice between four distinct character classes that you can then further customize by gathering a massive array of items and upgrades found throughout the world, all in an effort to to fight ever-increasing hordes of baddies for even more delicious loot. In other words, Outriders is indeed a looter shooter!

Since all of that heavily hinges on the actual moment-to-moment gameplay, and that happens to be something that's hard to describe through words alone, allow to me share with you the recently posted gameplay overview trailer. It should clue you in quite quickly on just what Outriders has to offer:

[Update #2]: Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has now arrived, and so far things are looking quite good.

[Update]: After many delays, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has now been pinned for a April 5th, 2022 release date.

The upcoming Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is looking to become the biggest Lego game ever by combining the storylines from all nine mainline Star Wars films into a single gigantic adventure. However, while its sheer scope is downright impressive, it has also brought with it some problems.

As has been the case with many other major games throughout the past year, the Traveller's Tales team has found themselves unable to fully finish The Skywalker Saga before its previously set spring 2021 release date. Faced with either releasing an unfinished game or pushing the launch day back, the team has decided to go with the obvious option and has now delayed The Skywalker Saga indefinitely.
