[Update #2]: Chains of Domination has now arrived onto the PTR.
[Update]: Blizzard has made the Ve'nari reputation account-wide and thus removed weeks of grinding!
If you're tired of the current content and you're itching to give something new a try, you might be happy to hear that World of Warcraft's Update 9.1 - Chains of Domination will soon be landing onto the PTR. While the exact release date hasn't been released just yet, you can expect to see it arrive on the week of April 12.
In terms of content, things are once again shrouded in mystery. However, I can tell you that the fully finished version of Update 9.1 will feature a brand new zone called Korthia, the City of Secrets, a massive raid set in the Sanctum of Domination, as well as an eight boss dungeon that's all about the shifty Brokers. There will also be additional Torghast layers and rewards for said layers, a brand new season to freshen up both PvP and PvE, new Covenant campaigns, as well as the long awaited return of flying.
Turtle Rock's Left 4 Dead inspired shooter Back 4 Blood has been pushed back until October 2021

[Update]: Back 4 Blood has now landed onto PC and consoles, and so far it's looking pretty solid.
I was hoping that 2021 would have far fewer delays than its predecessor, but unfortunately it seems that every two or three days a brand new game is getting pushed back. Just this week alone we've seen Humankind and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga get delayed, and the Turtle Rock's Left 4 Dead inspired Back 4 Blood is joining the beleaguered group.
The reason for the delay, as you would expect, is that the team needs a bit more time in order to get everything polished up and ready for launch. Considering how Turtle Rock's previous team-based shooter Evolve ended up failing due to a combination of small design issues and balance woes, I'd say that this is a pretty good decision for everyone involved.
Diablo 2: Resurrected will feature cross-progression between PC and consoles

[Update #2]: Diablo 2: Resurrected has now been unleashed, and so far it's looking pretty good!
[Update]: Diablo 2: Resurrected's very first technical Alpha began on April 9th and ran until April 12th.
Pretty much every single modern ARPG, from smaller indie games like Van Helsing to juggernauts like Path of Exile, takes a great deal of inspiration from Diablo 2. And for good reason, because even though Diablo 2 may be over twenty years old at this point, its gameplay and progression systems are still incredibly fun to mess around with.
So given Diablo 2's popularity, it really shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that during their recent BlizzCon Online convention Blizzard announced a new and improved version - Diablo 2: Resurrected. The remaster will bring with it both the original game and its Lord of Destruction expansion, greatly improved visuals and support for modern resolutions, an extended stash tab alongside a shared stash to help transfer items to your other characters, and most importantly of all, cross-platform progression!

[Update]: Days Gone has now made its way to PC without the various technical problems that plagued Horizon Zero Dawn!
Now that Horizon Zero Dawn has settled in nicely, it's the perfect time for another PlayStation exclusive to start making its way over to PC. The one chosen this time around is the 2019 survival-horror Days Gone that will have you roam across the large open world in search of precious supplies, dodge equally massive hordes of zombies, and just do whatever it takes to survive the usual apocalypse scenario.
If Days Gone sounds like it might be right up your alley, you'll be pleased to hear that Bend Studio has announced that the PC version will be launching in spring 2021. While the exact release date hasn't been given just yet, the devs did at least share the minimum and recommended PC system requirements. Here's what you'll need in order to run Days Gone:
No Man's Sky's Expeditions update has added a new game mode and plenty of awesome improvements

[Update #2]: No Man's Sky's Sentinel update has overhauled combat, added new robotic AI companions, tweaked a variety of visual effects, and the list goes on for a while.
[Update]: No Man’s Sky's latest Prism update has brought in a massive amount of visual improvements.
Continuing with their plan of improving just about every aspect of No Man's Sky, Hello Games have now released the rather massive Expeditions update. As you might expect, at the forefront of the update are the titular Expeditions which function as a brand new game mode that offers unique rewards and challenges.
These Expeditions always start from a fixed point in the universe, which is perfect for meeting up with fellow travelers and teaming up in order to brave whatever lies ahead. Each Expedition is made out of multiple Milestones which can range from fairly simple to incredibly difficult. All of them can be tackled in any order and will test your skills at every aspect of No Man's Sky, with the end reward usually being some sort of major upgrade or a nifty cosmetic.
Amplitude's massive turn-based strategy Humankind has been delayed until August 17th

[Update]: Humankind has now launched onto PC, and while a little bit buggy it's already looking pretty solid.
If you were hoping to get your hands on Amplitude's massive turn-based strategy Humankind this April, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. According to a recent update, the release date for Humankind has now been pushed back until August 17, 2021 due to the developers needing a bit more time to tweak things around based on player feedback from the recent test.
"In the weeks since the Lucy OpenDev, we've been reading a lot of feedback," explains the developer update. "While many players told us they see great potential in Humankind, they also offered a lot of constructive criticism, and often expressed concern if the game could live up to this potential in the time until release. "
Overwatch's co-op focused Archives event is landing on April 6th

[Update]: Overwatch Archives 2021 has now arrived, and sadly the new mission challenges are pretty disappointing.
It seems that Blizzard has completely given up on teasers for their Overwatch events. With some of the previous ones they'd showcase a brand new skin each day for an entire week leading up to the launch date, whereas these days it's more like "BAM, here's an event!"
Not only that, but the amount of time between the announcement and the event itself is getting shorter. As such, you might be both surprised and pleased to hear that the annual Archives event is launching in exactly two days, on April 6th!
