Like any great adventure, Tunic begins with a light bit of grave robbing in order to arm yourself, immediately followed by a spree of vandalism as you run into the nearest temple to smash all of their priceless pottery. Needless to say, Tunic is an action-adventure heavily inspired by the classic Zelda games, something it's so proud of it wears it as a shirt!

So if you're curious just how deep that comparison runs, as well as what sets Tunic apart from the rest of the genre, allow me to give you my thoughts after spending the past week getting thoroughly lost in its world.

Quite a few years have gone by since the last mainline Valkyrie Profile game, but I'm happy to say that the series is now in the process of making a (hopefully) triumphant return with Valkyrie Elysium. Developed by Soleil Games and published by Square Enix, the freshly announced Valkyrie Elysium will be an action-RPG heavily steeped in Norse mythology.

While the details are basically nonexistent right now, you can expect to see a fast-paced combat system based around various abilities, combos and finishing moves. As is tradition, you will then have to utilize all of these tools and tricks in order to beat back overwhelming numbers of enemies, as well as bosses that are a fair bit bigger and stronger than you are.

[Update]: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn's September preview shows off a fun mixture of Souls-like enemies, axes and gunpowder.

A bit over three years have gone by since Ashen first arrived, but Studio A44 has now finally returned with a brand new take on Souls-like action. The freshly announced Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is once again an open-world action-RPG with a heavy focus on combat, though instead of settling for a fairly generic medieval setting, Flintlock is all about guns, magical canine companions and a whole bunch of undead monstrosities.

No actual gameplay has been revealed just yet, but you can get a pretty good idea of the sort of style and atmosphere Flintlock is going for thorough the announcement trailer below. Have a gander:

There's a whole bunch of different games across different series currently on offer, so you should be able to find something that suits you fairly easily.

As always, the sale won't really last all that long, so you might want to dive in sooner rather than later. In this case, you can expect to see the JRPG Sale to stick around only until March 21st, 2022.

In an effort to fix up some of Total War: Warhammer 3's technical troubles, as well as to keep the community in the loop, Creative Assembly recently laid out their plans for the upcoming updates. Since the really big changes still need a bit more time in the oven, the humble Patch 1.0.2 has now been unleashed in order to fix up some of the more annoying problems and to help pave the way for what is to come.

The patch notes are fairly small, so here's a brief rundown of everything that has been changed, with the most important stuff being near the top:
