[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 3's long awaited Immortal Empires campaign is most likely coming in September!

[Update]: Patch 1.1 has now arrived, and it's quite the massive one!

While Total War: Warhammer 3 is a solid game and one that will only get better and better with time, it's currently suffering from some notable gameplay and technical issues. So in an effort to fix most of these problems, as well as to let the players know what's happening, Creative Assembly has now detailed their plans for Update 1.1 and beyond.

First and foremost, Update 1.1 will tweak some of the most annoying aspects of The Realm of Chaos campaign. Negative traits gained by exploring the Chaos realms will be getting reduced across the board, while winning the final survival battle will remove them entirely. And if you hate seeing portals pop up all over your lands, the "Protection" building chain will be getting buffed in order to prevent rifts from spawning in their province.

In order to make things even sweeter, you'll also be able to intercept an AI lord at the Forge of Souls in order to reset their progress to zero. So while you still won't be able to treat The Realm of Chaos as a sandbox to play around in, you'll at the very least have a lot more freedom in how you approach the race for souls.

When it comes to the gameplay balance, Tzeentch and Ogre Kingdoms will be getting some nerfs, while the massively underperforming Grand Cathay will be getting bigger armies in the Domination PvP mode. Best of all, Update 1.1 will also be fixing several issues with charges and impact damage, so a lot of units and strategies might suddenly become viable.

The final major thing to mention is that official mod support is nearly upon us! In other words, both the mod manager and Steam Workshop will be going live alongside Update 1.1, while future updates will expand the toolset and the amount of toys modders can play around with.
