Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak key art showing a group of characters fighting a monster

Rather than have the PC version be delayed like with Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne, Monster Hunter Rise's Sunbreak expansion has now been unleashed for both PC and Switch simultaneously. As is tradition, Sunbreak brings with it a chunky new world to explore, a variety of new and returning monsters, new Wirebug abilities for all fourteen weapons, as well as plenty of story-based excuses to start slicing monsters up.

What all of this looks like in action, as well as what you can expect to see in future updates, that you can find out through the trailer below. Have a peek:

While the expansion itself is good fun, do be warned that some players are reporting a variety of technical issues. These range from small but annoying graphical glitches to full-on crashes at random points in a mission.

So if you're planning to dive into Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, I'd definitely recommend giving the demo a try first. This way you'll not only be able to figure out whether your PC is going to run into any sort of problems with the full version, but also get a better feeling on just what the gameplay itself has to offer. Well worth the time and effort, I'd say.

You can check out the demo, as well as learn more about Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, over at Steam. Have fun!
