As the name might suggest, The Planet Crafter is a large-scale survival game that will task you with terraforming an entire planet on your own! In order to do so you'll need to gather resources and craft advanced tools, build complex machines to create a breathable atmosphere and drinkable water, deal with all sorts of natural disasters like meteor showers, and ideally manage all of that without starving to death on a hostile planet.

If you're curious what all of this looks like in action, as well as how much you can truly change the planet itself, you'll find your answers in the brief trailer below. Have a peek:

[Update]: After exactly a year in Early Access, Sons Of The Forest's Version 1.0 has now been unleashed!

If you were looking forward to chopping down trees and mutant cannibals in equal measure once Sons of the Forest arrives this May 20th, you might want to start making other plans. According to the freshly posted developer update, the sequel to the 2018 survival-horror The Forest has now been pushed back a couple of months.

"Over these past few weeks, we have realized that our May 2022 release date for Sons Of The Forest was overly ambitious," explains the brief announcement. "To be able to deliver our vision of the next step in survival games, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 2022."

Dota 2's Spring Cleaning 2022 update has brought a whole bunch of quality-of-life improvements

[Update #2]: Dota 2's "larger than normal" Patch 7.31d will be launching on June 8th, 2022.

[Update]: Dota 2's Patch 7.31c has toned down annoying heroes like Primal Beast and Death Prophet.

As a part of the recent and rather massive Update 7.31 Dota 2 added the Primal Beast as a new hero, reworked Techies into more of a classic support, completely changed how all of the jungle creeps act, as well as tweaked a whole bunch of heroes and items. Unfortunately, the update also brought with it some rather unwelcome guests - heaps of bugs!

So in order to sort out these fresh new problems, as well as to finally implement some quality-of-life changes the community has been asking for literal years, Valve has now unleashed the appropriately titled Spring Cleaning 2022 update. Unsurprisingly, there's a whole category dedicated to Rubick alone!

It looks like Fortnite will be making the 'no building' mode a permanent addition

[Update]: It's official, Fortnite has made the "Zero Build" mode a permanent new addition.

As a part of a recent and absolutely bizarre storyline, Fortnite removed the ability to build things in its default game mode. I fully expected this to be a small experiment that might eventually lead to an additional 'no builds' game mode, but as it turns out, that one might be coming sooner than expected!

While no official announcement has been made just yet, multiple dataminers have discovered numerous references to 'no builds' modes in Fortnite's files. So if you're a fan of looking at landscapes uncluttered by massive fortresses, you'll be happy to hear that the 'no builds' setting will likely be made available for solos, duos, trios and squads!

[Update #2]: The April 2022 Streets of New Capenna set is all about demons, gangsters and demon gangsters.

[Update]: MTG Arena's April 7th Alchemy update will buff Elves, Warriors and Equipment.

After releasing two fairly small content updates for the new and digital-only Alchemy format, Wizards of the Coast is now looking to take things to the next level. As such, once it arrives this July the Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate set will bring with it hundreds of new cards to play around with, a new draft environment to explore, as well as the first non-Standard Mastery Pass.

While the exact contents of Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate have not been revealed just yet, you can expect to see an assortment of cards directly taken from Commander Legends: Battle at Baldur's Gate, a bunch of cards from the same set digitally rebalanced for 1v1 play, as well as brand new Dungeons & Dragons themed cards. Similarly the list of formats hasn't been announced yet, but I think it's safe to say these cards will be legal in Alchemy, Historic and Historic Brawl.

Inspired by Borderlands 2's highly popular DLC Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, the freshly released Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a ridiculously over-the-top homage to the RPG genre. It brings with it six character classes that you can mix and match talents from, a world filled with treasure chests to pillage and quests to complete, mountains upon mountains of procedurally generated weapons, and naturally, a whole host of fantasy monsters to clobber over and over again.

What all of this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can get a pretty good idea of through the remarkably lengthy developer preview below. Have a gander:

[Update]: Lego Bricktales has now arrived, and there's even a free demo available!

After playing around with bridges for more than a decade at this point, it look like the ClockStone team has decided to aim a little bit higher with their next game. So instead of simply constructing ramshackle bridges that stand only on faith alone, you'll soon be able to create even more elaborate monstrosities in the freshly announced Lego Bricktales!

As the name might suggest, Lego Bricktales will be a story focused adventure that will have you solve a wide variety of puzzles by building an assortment of Lego contraptions, brick by brick. And yes, some of those puzzles will indeed task you with making a Lego bridge!
