[Update]: The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has now arrived with a ton of new and remastered content.

After being delayed time and time again, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has now finally been pinned for an April 27th, 2022 release date. Quite fitting given that the story is all about Stanley, who just so happens to be Employee #427!

The Ultra Deluxe edition will bring with it a variety of visual enhancements alongside a ton of new content and secrets to explore, with enough new lines to fill out a script longer than the one from the original The Stanley Parable. What exactly has been changed, however, the developers did not say, and for good reason as The Stanley Parable is one of those games best experienced without any knowledge of its story.

[Update]: The balance patch has now arrived, and it brings with it a small extra change to Blood Artist that will make the card a lot less tedious to use!

In order to get as many deck archetypes into as playable of a state as possible, MTG Arena has been releasing numerous balance update aimed specifically at the most underpowered of cards. Last time around it was a whole bunch of Dungeon cards that got some much-needed buffs, and soon it will be time for Elves, Warriors and Equipment to get the same treatment as well.

The goal with the Warrior and Equipment based changes is to make them less vulnerable to removal with the addition of Ward effects, as well as to make them easier to play by reducing the mana cost of some of the key pieces. As for the Elves, it's mostly about giving the cards a little bit more flexibility and toughness so the deck can survive long enough to start a big chain reaction.

Dungeons & Dragons artwork for the Gold Box collection

Created in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Gold Box series of PC games represents a whole bunch of classic Dungeons & Dragons based RPGs. So if you're in the mood for some heavy nostalgia, or simply curious about the early days of D&D RPGs, you'll be happy to hear that the Gold Box games have now landed onto Steam.

However, instead of everything being a part of a single collection, the Gold Box games have been separated by series and are now a part of eight separate 'collections'. Since trying to track them all down is a bit of a nightmare, allow me to give you a hand by listing all of the bundles and what they contain:

Diablo 4's March 2022 preview offers a detailed look at the environment and dungeon design

[Update #2]: Diablo 4 will be launching on June 6th, 2023 with five classes: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue and Sorceress.

[Update]: Diablo 4's August 2022 update has detailed the post-launch plans, seasons and in-game shop.

While Diablo 4's release date is still nowhere to be seen, Blizzard has at least been pretty diligent with keeping the community in the loop with detailed developer updates discussing various aspects of Diablo 4's design. Last time they talked about gameplay focused things like itemization, character progression and visual effects for abilities, while this time around it's all about the visuals and the design behind the environments and dungeons.

The most interesting bit of new information is that Diablo 4 will have over 150 randomized dungeons to explore. So in order to ensure these dungeons don't become repetitive and boring, the team has created tile-sets and decoration in such a way that they can be used in multiple locations, as well as mixed and matched to create entirely new environments without the need for new assets.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is adding Aurora from Child of Light as a brand new character

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night artwork showing off the Aurora crossover

[Update]: More good news! Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is bringing in a crossover level inspired by Journey.

In an announcement that I don't think I could've predicted even in a thousand years, the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night team has now revealed that they are adding a brand new character. The really surprising part is that instead of going with a reworked boss or an NPC from the game itself, the new character will be Aurora from Ubisoft's Child of Light!

Aurora will come armed with the Sword of Matildis and the Light Ray skill, and will also be accompanied by her loyal companion Igniculus. He will act independently of the player and will focus on both slowing down enemies and healing Aurora whenever necessary. Furthermore, as you journey throughout the game you will be able to unlock additional powers by defeating bosses and absorbing Shards, much like some of the other characters.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands fiery artwork and logo

Inspired by Borderlands 2's highly popular Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a charming and explosion fueled homage to the RPG genre. With some top notch action and an excellent cast doing their best to portray completely ridiculous characters as straight as possible, it's also a highly enjoyable game in its own right.

So if you're curious about just what all of this looks like in action, as well as how Wonderlands compares to its predecessor Borderlands 3, allow me to share my thoughts after a very explosion-filled adventure!
