Vampire Survivors will be getting a new engine with greatly enhanced performance this Summer

[Update]: Vampire Survivors devs have revealed their plans for 2023, including new content and the long-awaited engine upgrade.
While Vampire Survivors is an awesome game and one that has occupied far more of my time than I'm willing to admit, it sadly has a pretty serious issue with performance. Once you get a whole bunch of upgrades and start shooting a myriad of projectiles in every single direction, all the while the enemies spawn so quickly the screen can barely hold them all, the gameplay can very quickly devolve into a slideshow.
So in an effort to fix this glaring issue, Vampire Survivors will be getting ported over to a brand new engine this Summer. The exact details have not been revealed just yet, but according to the recent roadmap update things are already looking remarkably good.
Hyper Light Breaker is a freshly announced roguelite action-adventure from the Hyper Light Drifter team

Set within the same world as Hyper Light Drifter, the freshly unveiled Hyper Light Breaker is a fully 3D action-adventure with roguelite elements sprinkled in for flavor. No exact release date has been given just yet, but you can expect Hyper Light Breaker to land into Steam Early Access in Spring 2023.
As for the actual gameplay, Hyper Light Breaker will have you explore a vast and ever-changing world with an assortment of movement abilities like wall-dashing and gliding, beat up hordes of monsters and giant bosses in either singleplayer or co-op, and in order to cool off between missions, also help a lonely settlement flourish in order to unlock upgrades and discover more of the world's story. Fairly standard roguelite stuff, but considering the team's previous work on Hyper Light Drifter, I have a feeling Hyper Light Breaker will end up being a blast to play regardless!
Dark fantasy action-RPG Weird West has now arrived alongside a bunch of peculiar stories

To put it quite simply, Weird West is a dark fantasy action-RPG that combines the usual stories about cowboys and gunslingers with fantastical creatures and otherworldly events. All of this is told through the perspectives of five bounty hunters, each of which is stuck dealing with a series of peculiar challenges ranging from crazed cultists to talking pigmen. Needless to say, the Weird West title is well deserved.
If you're curious just how all of this madness translates into actual gameplay, as well as whether Weird West might be something you'd like to dive into, allow me to share with you a recent and rather lengthy developer preview. You don't need to watch all of it, obviously, but even a couple of minutes should be more than enough to give you a solid impression of what Weird West is working with. Have a gander:
Overwatch's Anniversary Remix event will be landing this April 5th with stylish recolors of popular skins

[Update]: Right on schedule, Overwatch's Anniversary Remix event has now been unleashed.
In an effort to focus all of their resources on the upcoming Overwatch 2 Closed Beta, Blizzard has now announced that this year's Archives, Summer Games and Anniversary events will not be making a return. However, this isn't actually bad news as in their place we will be getting the Anniversary Remix event.
Each of the three currently planned Anniversary Remix events with bring with them all of the previously available game modes (including things like Lucio Ball, Capture the Flag and Archives missions), as well as stylish recolors of some of the most popular skins. And as an added little bonus, the Anniversary Remix event will also bring with it three weekly challenges offering some of the previously limited-edition skins.
Chrono Cross' HD remaster will be heading over to PC and consoles next week, on April 7th

[Update]: Chrono Cross' big HD remaster has now arrived, though sadly alongside a cacophony of complaints.
Set in the same world as the phenomenal Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross is a 1999 RPG that has managed to garner quite a cult following over the years. So if you're curious what the hubbub is all about, or if you're just in the mood for a bit of nostalgia, you might be interested to hear that the freshly announced HD remaster Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition will be arriving on April 7th, 2022 for PC and consoles.
The new and improved version will bring with it HD character models, higher quality music, the ability to change the resolution, as well as the option to switch between the old pixel font and a new, more legible HD font. On the gameplay side of things, Chrono Cross will also bring with it the ability to turn enemy encounters on or off, an auto-battle function, as well as a couple of other enhancements to make combat a bit smoother.

[Update]: Peglin has now been unleashed, and as I've detailed in my preview, it's a fun albeit somewhat limited experience.
For the lack of a better description, the upcoming Peglin is a curious combination of peggle gameplay and roguelike progression. In other words, you'll be dealing damage to your enemies by trying to hit as many pegs and special tiles as possible, all the while managing your different upgrades, unique balls, rapidly dwindling health and scores of randomized enemy encounters.
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you one of the trailers. It should give you a pretty solid idea of just what Peglin is trying to do and how it all plays out. Have a peek:

[Update #2]: My review for Darktide is now live and, long story short, it's as rough and fascinating as the world it takes place in!
[Update]: Darktide has revealed the fourth and final Psyker class in a brand new trailer.
The heavily co-op focused Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was originally supposed to arrive in late 2021 for PC and Xbox, but unfortunately had to be delayed as the Fatshark team simply needed more time to get everything polished up and ready to go. A fair few months have gone by since then, but I'm happy to say that we now finally have an actual release date - September 13th, 2022!
Not only that, but Fatshark has also released a brief trailer giving us a little peek into the personalities of the four main characters. Have a gander, and make sure to turn on the subtitles as they're quite amusing:
