[Update]: After two years in Early Access, Songs of Conquest will be launching on May 20th, 2024!
These past few weeks have been pretty good for fans of the classic Might and Magic games! Not only has Ubisoft announced they have a Might & Magic AAA project in development, but the heavily Heroes of Might and Magic inspired Songs of Conquest has now also been pinned for a May 10th, 2022 Steam Early Access launch.
As you might imagine given its inspiration, Songs of Conquest is a turn-based strategy that's all about exploring a giant map in search of treasure and resources, upgrading your home base in order to unlock new units and abilities, and then using said armies to engage in large-scale battles against your opponents. It's pretty much Heroes of Might and Magic 3 at its core, just with a couple of fun little twists to spice things up.
Overwatch 2 devs have detailed the upcoming Apex Legends inspired ping system

[Update #2]: Overwatch 2 will be reworking classic maps to make them function with only one tank per team.
[Update]: Overwatch's Anniversary Remix event will be landing on April 5th, 2022 with stylish recolors of popular skins to help get everyone excited for the beta.
One of the best things that came out of Apex Legends has been the whole ping system. It's a simple, elegant and extremely useful way of communicating in even the most hectic of situations, so I'm very pleased to say that Blizzard will be adapting it for Overwatch 2 and its upcoming beta!
When it comes to friendly communication, the Overwatch 2 ping system will work pretty much exactly how you would expect. If you select the "Group Up" or "I need healing" options, the ping will activate on top of your hero and make it easy for your friends to help you out. On the other hand, if you select the "Attack" function it'll plop down a ping right where you were pointing with your crosshair.
Lone Fungus is an upcoming Metroidvania starring a highly acrobatic mushroom

The upcoming Lone Fungus is a colorful Metroidvania action-adventure starring a surprisingly acrobatic mushroom on a mission to save the world. While the choice of protagonist is certainly a bit odd, the actual gameplay should be quite familiar as it's all about exploring a huge and interconnected world, unlocking new abilities and items that let you fight more effectively or venture into previously inaccessible areas, and naturally, beating up hordes of cutesy enemies along the way.
Since a Metroidvania game lives and dies by the quality of its gameplay, allow me to share with you one of the recent trailers. It should give you a pretty good idea of just what Lone Fungus is all about. Have a peek:
Apex Legends' upcoming Warriors update is adding a new Arena map and bringing back the Control mode

[Update #2]: Apex Legends' Season 13 is adding Bangalore's brother and sprucing up the Storm Point map.
[Update]: The Warriors update has now arrived, and it has also brought with it a native version of Apex Legends for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
As a part of the recent Season 12 - Defiance update, Apex Legends added Control as a brand new and limited-time game mode. Control is essentially 9v9 team deathmatch where you have to fight over three control points scattered across the map, and it serves as a pretty good middleground between the Battle Royale and Arena modes.
One day we'll hopefully see Control added as a proper game mode, but for the time being I'm happy to say that it will be returning as a limited-time event alongside the Warriors update on March 29th. And just to spice things up a bit, the Caustic Treatment area from Kings Canyon will also be getting converted into a Control map with a bunch of new ziplines and other mobility tools to play around with!

[Update]: After a small delay, Diablo 2: Resurrected's Patch 2.4 has now been unleashed.
In an effort to increase the amount of endgame viable builds, as well as to make messing around with new characters a more enjoyable time, the Diablo 2 Resurrected team is currently getting ready to release the chunky Patch 2.4. Unfortunately, instead of the update launching later this month as previously announced, Patch 2.4 has now been delayed until April 14th.
"So, what happened here? As you may recall, we have been working through extensive updates on the backend and database services for the game," explains the developer update. "Last week, we had some extended downtime for D2R which was to implement the final batch of changes from our PTR to our production environments. During this update, we unfortunately ran into quite a few showstoppers that did not appear on PTR but were present in production environments."

Continuing on with the same theme as The Evil Within, Tango Gameworks' freshly released Ghostwire: Tokyo is a horror focused action game. It'll task you with exploring a variety of supernaturally infested locations all throughout Tokyo, fighting an assortment of demons and spirits inspired by Japanese mythology, as well as with figuring out just what in the world is happening before things get really out of hand.
You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action, as well as what sort of atmosphere Ghostwire: Tokyo is going for, through the recently posted trailer. Have a peek:
