[Update #2]: Apex Legends' Season 13 is adding Bangalore's brother and sprucing up the Storm Point map.

[Update]: The Warriors update has now arrived, and it has also brought with it a native version of Apex Legends for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

As a part of the recent Season 12 - Defiance update, Apex Legends added Control as a brand new and limited-time game mode. Control is essentially 9v9 team deathmatch where you have to fight over three control points scattered across the map, and it serves as a pretty good middleground between the Battle Royale and Arena modes.

One day we'll hopefully see Control added as a proper game mode, but for the time being I'm happy to say that it will be returning as a limited-time event alongside the Warriors update on March 29th. And just to spice things up a bit, the Caustic Treatment area from Kings Canyon will also be getting converted into a Control map with a bunch of new ziplines and other mobility tools to play around with!

Arena has not been forgotten either as the Warriors update will also bring with it the Hammond themed Drop-Off map. This one looks like it has been designed with extremely long and extremely short range brawls in mind, so it should be quite interesting to see how it all ends up working out.

You can get a small teaser of what these two maps look like in action through the freshly posted trailer. Have a peek:

As is tradition, the Warriors update will also bring with it a whole bunch of new cosmetics to collect, both paid and free. The free stuff, as you'll see below, doesn't look all that exciting this time around, but it's entirely possible that's due to the low quality image and the actual items will look much better.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once the Warriors update arrives. Until then, you can check out the full patch notes over at the Apex Legends website.
