[Update #2]: Overwatch's Anniversary Remix event will be landing on April 5th, 2022 with stylish recolors of popular skins to help get everyone excited for the beta.

[Update]: Overwatch 2 devs have detailed the upcoming Apex Legends inspired ping system.

It seems like Overwatch 2 has finally found its footing, because after nearly two years of silence Blizzard has now finally started actively communicating. Best of all, they even have two pieces of exciting news to share!

First of all, the previously announced Overwatch 2 PvP Closed Beta has now been pinned for April 26th, 2022. So if you would like to join in and see just what all of the fuss is about, make sure to sign up over at the Overwatch website.

The second and far more unexpected bit of news is that Doomfist has been transformed into a tank! Needless to say, I'm incredibly happy about this as I've never felt like Doomfist was all that fun to fight. He either felt oppressive to play against if you weren't a hero with a stun, or a complete and utter joke if you had one. With a tank-focused rework I can definitely see him becoming a far more interesting hero to both play as and against, so consider my interest piqued!

Once we get more information, most likely as we approach closer to the beta launch, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you might want to check out the recently posted minimum & recommended PC specs, just to make sure you don't run into any unpleasant surprises if you get a beta key.
