[Update #2]: Due to popular request, MTG Arena will be adding a new Pioneer-like format - Explorer.
[Update]: MTG Arena's April 2022 Streets of New Capenna set is all about demons, gangsters and demon gangsters.
Continuing with the recent push towards making draft-focused cards more playable in constructed environments, MTG Arena has now unleashed a brand new Alchemy update. While last time it was zombies that got spruced up, this time around we're looking at a whole bunch of buffs to Elves, Warriors and Equipment.
In order to make Warriors and Equipment more relevant, the update has made them less vulnerable to removal with the addition of Ward effects, as well as cheaper to cast in order to help the deck come online sooner. When it comes to the Elves, it's all about giving the cards a little bit more flexibility and toughness so the deck can survive long enough to overwhelm the opponent.

[Update]: Dolmen has now arrived, though sadly with a whole array of problems.
Seemingly inspired by both Warframe and the Souls series, the upcoming Dolmen is a gritty sci-fi action-RPG with the focus firmly placed on tactical combat. Expect to see a variety of unique melee and ranged weapons to slowly master, an assortment of challenging enemies and bosses to slam your head against, as well as a dark and twisted world to explore.
While the details are still few and far between, you can get a pretty good impression of what Dolmen is all about through two of the trailers below. The first is the original reveal trailer showing off the locations and the overall atmosphere, while the second is the more recent video that brings with it a tiny bit of actual gameplay. [Update]: Following in the same footsteps as Northgard, Shiro Games have now released Dune: Spice Wars into Steam Early Access.
Dune: Spice Wars, developed by the team behind the excellent Northgard, is an upcoming real-time strategy game with some 4X elements mixed in for flavor. As you might imagine given the setting alone, Dune: Spice Wars is all about using political intrigue to crush your opponents, deploying hordes of spies to ensure they can't do the same to you, and when all else fails, handling your problems through overwhelming firepower.
What this looks like in actual gameplay, that you can check out through the trailer below. Have a gander, it'll clue you in quite quickly on just what Dune: Spice Wars is trying to do:

The university building and management sim Two Point Campus was originally supposed to arrive on May 17th, 2022, but according to the newest developer update that's sadly no longer going to be the case. In order to ensure Two Point Campus launches in as polished of a state as possible, the team has now decided to push its release date back to August 9th.
"As you know, one of our biggest goals with Two Point Campus is to launch on PC and console platforms from day one, and we want to make sure that every single one of you gets the best quality game no matter what you're playing on," explains the brief update. "So in order for everyone to have the incredible experience we all want you to have, we need a little more time to continue our optimisation efforts for all platforms. "

[Update]: It took a while for this announcement to arrive, but Remedy Entertainment is now also working on Control 2!
Today has been a pretty good day as far as ancient classics go. Ron Gilbert has announced that he's working on a brand new Monkey Island game, and now Remedy Entertainment has revealed that they are remaking both the original Max Payne and its sequel Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne!
The remakes will be developed on the Northlight engine (Control, Quantum Break) and will be released as a single game. As for the launch platforms, right now it looks like Max Payne 1 & 2 will be arriving onto PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Most importantly, the budget for the remakes will be "in line with a typical Remedy AAA-game production", so I think it's safe to say we can expect a high standard of quality.

[Update #2]: It's time to get excited as Return to Monkey Island will be launching on September 19th, 2022!
[Update]: Return to Monkey Island's first preview shows off a new art style and some excellent music.
Over thirty years have gone by since Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, so you can imagine my surprise when Ron Gilbert, one of the original creators, popped up to announce a brand new follow-up is currently in development! The exact details are still few and far between, but the freshly announced Return to Monkey Island will be a collaboration between Gilbert's Terrible Toybox and Lucasfilm Games.
While Return to Monkey Island will be a follow-up to Monkey Island 2, Ron Gilbert has quickly clarified that the team has gone to great lengths to ensure that Monkey Island 3 (The Curse of Monkey Island) will not go out of canon. Not only that, but Murray will also be making an appearance in Return to Monkey Island!
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has now arrived with a storyline spanning all nine movies

After going through a rather lengthy delay, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has now finally been unleashed for PC and consoles. While it's similar to the rest of the series in terms of gameplay, The Skywalker Saga manages to stand head and shoulders above them when it comes to its sheer scope.
Instead of focusing on a single movie or even a single series, The Skywalker Saga brings with it a storyline spanning all nine of the main Star Wars movies! Just to put things into perspective, this means there's over 300 playable characters, over 100 vehicles to accidentally smash into walls, as well as 23 different planets to explore. That is an impressive amount of content, even for the standards of the Lego Star Wars games!
