Square Enix sure is working fast on these Final Fantasy ports because its only been 7 days since the Final Fantasy IX PC & mobile port was announcement and they're already giving out further information.

Old School Runescape has recieved a new expansion titled Zeah: Great Kourend

Runescape has been around for 15 years now and as you might imagine it underwent a lot of changes during its life but not all of them were well received by the community. The patches that came in the last few years were the most controversial, so much so that Jagex ended up making a special version of Runescape that would run on old patches in order to appease both sides of the playerbase, a rather brilliant move as it turns out.

The old school version of Runescape is apparently popular enough to warrant a rather big expansion, first part of which has been released today. The expansion titled Zeah: Great Kourend is adding new ways for players to level up their skills, a new landmass and bustling city to explore as well as five great houses to appease in order to make a name for yourself.

Torment: Tides of Numenera beta testing will open up soon with Early Access following shortly

This might come as a surprise but its been 17 years since Planescape: Torment graced the PC world and revolutionized RPG storytelling in such a fashion that very few games even today can come close.

And after all that waiting it appears we'll finally be able to take a good look at its spiritual successor, Torment: Tides of Numenera, as the beta will become available for eligible Kickstarter backers on January 17th with Steam Early Access following shortly on January 26th.

Psychonauts 2 has recently been funded on Double Fine's own Fig crowdfunding website

[Update]: Six years after its big reveal, Psychonauts 2 has now finally been unleashed onto PC and consoles!

After the initial announcement of the Fig crowdfunding campaign for Psychonauts 2 Double Fine managed to raised a whopping $1,500,000 in a single day.

However, since the initial rush things have slowed down significantly and it was only recently that Psychonauts 2 was fully funded. It currently sits at $3,300,000 and with only 5 days left now would be the time to pledge if you're really interested in any of the reward tiers.

The Oculus Rift pre-orders are now live and everyone who backed the Kickstarter's development kit pledge gets one for free

The day has finally come, after a long wait the world's very first VR device - the Oculus Rift - is now available for pre-purchase.

You can find all of the details as well as how to pre-order your own copy over at the Oculus website though be warned, it is quite pricey at $599 and €699 for us in the EU (without shipping).

Rise of the Tomb Raider PC system requirements and release date announced

After being rather tight lipped for months on the fate of the PC port of Rise of the Tomb Raider Square Enix has finally announced all of the details, well, almost all of them.

I say almost because while they did just recently release the minimum system requirements they completely skipped over the recommended ones. Not a big deal by any stretch as those are more of a guideline than anything else but still a bit odd. In any case, here's the info you came here for:

SMITE world championship begins tomorrow and a new cinematic trailer has been released

In order to celebrate the upcoming World Championship for their free 2 play MOBA Hi-rez Studios have released a fancy new cinematic trailer titled "To Hell & Back"

Personally I'm not really sure their music choice was a good idea for a trailer of this sort but its still rather nice to be able to see the characters with some high quality models. You can check out the trailer right below:

A Boy and His Blob are coming to the PC, PS4, Vita and Xbox One

If you've missed out on the Wii version of A Boy and His Blob you're going to have a chance to correct that as the game is making its way to the PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Vita relatively soon, on Janaury 19th to be exact.

A Boy and His Blob is a charming puzzle-platformer with some really great visuals and interesting narrative wrapping all of it together so it is a shame that it got somewhat overlooked after its release on the Wii. Hopefully with this new port it'll get the recognition it deserves.

The new Polaris GPU architecture promises great performance improvements for AMD cards

During today's Consumer Electronics Show AMD had a rather big announcement to make, that of a completely new GPU architecture they've titled Polaris.

Compared to the current standard of 28nm that both AMD and Nvidia used the new Polaris architecture will move to a much smaller 14nm FinFET technology that promises a historic leap in performance per watt. Here's the full announcement video and some more information:

Door Kickers 2 has been announce today and its going to mark the game's transition in to 3D

[Update]: A greatly improved version of Door Kickers 2 has now been pinned for a Q2, 2020 release date.

If this is your first time meeting Door Kickers its best explained as a real time strategy game where you take control of a SWAT team during a tactical intervention against overwhelming numbers of armed opponents. A successful raid is all about good planning, timing, coordination and most importantly kicking down doors.

When Door Kickers released back in 2014 it received overwhelmingly positive reviews and has since then added even more content so I'm very glad I can tell you that Door Kickers 2 is now in the works according to a recent developer blog post. Here's the full announcement message:
