Fallout 4 beta patch 1.3 is now out on Steam

The recently released Fallout 4 beta patch is a bit light on new features but it does make up for it with the sheer number of fixes and quality of life changes that are coming with it.

Settlements have received the most in patch 1.3 as your settlers will now have a status menu, the ESDF key remapping will actually work when you're in workshop mode and the performance & memory stability have been improved so large settlements won't hopefully lag as much.

Here's the full list of changes:

Mojang published Cobalt will be coming early February

Cobalt is an action game all about rolling around, coming to us from Oxeye Game Studio and published by Moyang. If you have a distinct feeling you've heard about it before its quite likely as Cobalt has been announced way back in the ancient times of 2011.

But now its long journey seems to be coming to an end, or rather a beginning, as Cobalt will be releasing on the PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One this February 2nd at a $19,99 price tag. Here's the most recent gameplay trailer:

The Division closed beta starts on January 28th for Xbox One and 29th for PS4 and PC

After the technical alpha held last December it was obvious that the beta for The Division would be starting up soon and sure enough we now have the announcement.

The Division multiplayer beta test will begin on January 28th for the Xbox One with the PC & PS4 platforms following on January 29th. The beta will conclude on January 31st but until then you will be able to experience Manhattan's Chelsea Pier and the early story-driven missions as you establish your first foothold in New York.

Jonathan Blow announces the rather impressive voice cast for The Witness

Jonathan Blow, the main man behind Braid and upcoming The Witness posted on the Playstation blog today to announce that the voice recordings have been successfully finished.

And as a small teaser he also announced the rather impressive cast of voice actors that will be lending their touch to The Witness in the form of audio logs.

Hitman is going to be one of the rare few fully episodic AAA games

After many months of dancing around the topic it would appear we finally got an answer on how exactly the latest Hitman game will be released.

In a recent press announcement Square Enix confirmed that Hitman will be a truly episodic AAA game with a major live component. The beta will start this February 12th for the PS4 and a few days later, on February 19th for PC.

Subnautica H2.0 update has arrived bringing with it many new changes and improvements

Subnautica is a visually beautiful undersea survival and exploration game set in an alien world and created by the aptly named Unknown Worlds, the developers behind the excellent Natural Selection 2.

As of right now Subnautica is still in Early Access but unlike the majority of its survival genre brethren it is using the platform to deliver some frequent and major patches. One such addition is the very punny H2.0 update which brings with it much improved water effects, darker nights, more realistic undersea lighting, large explorable wrecks and more. Here's the trailer showcasing the update:

Sven co-op Half Life mod is coming to Steam for free after 17 years in development

I am of course talking about the famous Sven co-op, a Half Life mod with an impressive library of custom maps and modes to chose from. The last time I played, or even heard about it I was still a wee lad so imagine my surprise when it surfaced again with quite an announcement.

Sven co-op will be arriving on Steam in the near future as a completely free & standalone mod, you won't even need Half Life to run it even though it does include the entirety of HL1's campaign. Check out the trailer to see what sort of madness you can get in to:

Tales of Symphonia is coming to PC on February 2nd at most likely a $20 price tag

Once upon a time it was so rare to get even a single JRPG to appear on PC but nowadays they are coming out of the woodwork and I couldn't be happier about it.

Today's JRPG announcement is that Tales of Symphonia, an oldschool RPG classic, is coming to PC on February 2nd, mere two weeks from now. Here's the trailer that accompanied the announcement:

First unedited Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak gameplay footage

With the release date for Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak set for January 20 and no gameplay footage in sight many were starting to become rather skeptical of the game's quality.

And now that actual unedited gameplay footage has been released through IGN it makes me wonder why Gearbox didn't promote Homeworld: DOK sooner because it looks quite stellar. Take a look for yourself though crank the volume up a bit as its set far too low:

Guild Wars 2 developers talk about upcoming features for Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns was rather disappointing as far as MMO expansions go, not because the content on offer was bad but rather because a lot of it ended up in the mystical realm of "coming soon".

However, as you can see in the recent State of the Game blog post they seem to be trying to make amends and I do appreciate them keeping us in the loop as far as upcoming features are concerned. Here's what you can expect from Guild Wars 2 in Q1 2016:
