Much like all of CDPR's previous games, The Witcher 3 has drastically changed since it first launched. Many of the bugs that once used to plague it are now gone, the inventory system has received a complete overhaul, plenty of new free content has been added in, and most importantly, two massive expansions have increased the size of the world by a rather considerable margin.

Due to all of the changes and updates The Witcher 3 has received so far, installing it fresh from a disk has become a rather big annoyance as you also have to download nearly endless amounts of patches and extra content as well. With this in mind, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that CDPR has decided to release The Witcher 3 - Game of the Year Edition which comes with all of the expansions, free content, and patches.

What might surprise you, however, is that The Witcher 3 - GOTY is releasing at some point today! If you have no idea what The Witcher 3 is all about, or if you just want to have your memory refreshed, here's the recently posted GOTY trailer:

Fallout 4's Nuka-World raider screenshot

After a whole bunch of DLC, some good, some not so much, Fallout 4 has reached the end of the line with Nuka-World, the sixth and final expansion. Throughout Nuka-World you'll be able to explore an all-new region of the Commonwealth, befriend and lead crazed gangs of Raiders in order to conquer the wasteland, and naturally, collect a whole bunch of weapons and equipment along the way.

If that sort of a description is simply too sane for you, would you instead prefer to learn more about Nuka-World from a sentient Nuka-Cola bottle and his friend Cappy? If the answer is yes, and honestly it should always be yes, here's the relatively recent trailer:

World of Warcraft: Legion's Illidan artwork

When it comes to MMO launches, or even most online games in general, the first few days are usually a complete disaster. As endless hordes of players swarm each of the available servers the in-game lag tends to slowly become unbearable, and worst of all, plenty of well-hidden bugs suddenly start surfacing in order to make the whole experience even more nightmarish.

Much to my surprise, however, none of these issues have befallen World of Warcraft's long-awaited Legion expansion. Not only was there no lag even mere minutes after the official release, the gameplay itself was almost completely bug free! In the three or so hours I've spent with Legion so far I've only encountered a single, minor bug - a broken texture that allowed me to see through the roof of a rather funky Night Elf house. Unlike Illidan, it would appear that Blizzard was prepared!

With Fallout 4's final DLC "Nuka-World" just around the corner, Bethesda has decided to give everyone a glimpse at the sort of gameplay only an expansion situated in a post-apocalyptic amusement park can provide.

To be more specific, the hour-long developer preview covers the introduction, some of the weapons you'll get to toy around with, and a couple of other aspects of Nuka-World's early-game. If you're someone like me and you hate spoilers with a passion, worry not as the two hosts go out of their way to avoid some of the more sensitive bits, though you're still watching a preview so... be warned, I guess. Here's the video:

No Man's Sky's BigThings mod brings massive plants into the world

Ever since I ran out of actually enjoyable stuff to do in No Man's Sky I started scouring the NoMansSkyMods website in order to find something, anything to bring at least a little bit fun back into the game. My initial trip was a massive success as I bumped into the LowFlight mod, a nifty little tool that completely removes the annoying auto-pilot and allows you to fly as close to the ground as you wish, so I figured I would dip my toes once more and try out a newly released mod.

As you're no doubt aware from the title, I decided to try out the BigThings mod, and I have to say its pretty damn impressive! To put it simply, mostly because it really is that simple, all that BigThings does is greatly increase the size of certain trees, rocks and plants in order to make the landscapes feel truly alien. Given that the very first thing I saw when I logged in was a giant forest of mushrooms, I think its say to say that the mod has managed to accomplish its task.

Total War: Warhammer's Ghoul King

Its only been around a month since the Call of the Beastmen DLC arrived to Total War: Warhammer and soon enough, September 1st to be exact, we will be getting a second major piece of DLC - The Grim & The Grave. As you might expect from its name alone, the upcoming DLC brings with it two new Legendary Lords, the Empire's Volkmar the Grim and the Vampire Count's Helman Ghorst, two new lord types, the Arch Lector and the Strigoi Ghoul King, as well as a few new units and variants to toy around with.

Rather than simply talk about all of these new units and heroes, perhaps it would be for the best if you just saw the announcement trailer instead. It does a rather good job of showcasing everything The Grim & The Grave has to offer. Have a look:

Northgard gameplay screenshot

Northgard is a recently announced viking-themed strategy game from the developers behind the Evoland series. While the full details are still currently unknown, the main gameplay premise behind Northgard revolves around exploring and conquering new lands, establishing self-sustaining settlements and villages, befriending or waging war against the rather strange locals, and naturally, achieving victory through numerous means.

Since trying to explain what a strategy game is all about through words alone is a nearly impossible task, Shiro Games have just recently posted a gameplay video showcasing Northgard in its early alpha state. Have a look, its quite interesting:

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided screenshot of combat

Given that the critics are mostly praising Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, one would think that everything is currently perfect, but unfortunately that is not the case. As you'll notice the moment you visit Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's Steam page, there are numerous reports of poor performance, constant crashing, and a whole host of other such annoying bugs.

Thankfully, the developers didn't just wait for the storm to pass by as they have just recently pushed out the very first bug fixing patch aimed at some of the most "critical issues", i.e. the constant crashing. Here are the brief, but hopefully significant patch notes:

Dark Souls 3's Ashes of Ariandel DLC screenshot

In a massive contrast to the rest of the gaming industry, the Souls series has only ever received sparse amounts of DLC, but they were all of such high quality that I doubt anyone would complain if FromSoftware released more. Even now, despite Dark Souls 3 being a truly amazing game, I consider the Dark Souls 2 DLC pack as the very best example of Dark Souls gameplay.

With that in mind, I have some great news to share - Dark Souls 3's Ashes of Ariandel DLC is coming on October 25th! If you're interested in a bit of a sneak peek at some of the bosses and locations you're going to be dying at, here's the recently posted trailer:

Mirage: Arcane Warfare official promo artwork

Following the success of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Torn Banner Studios have decided to take things to the next extreme by creating Mirage: Arcane Warfare. As you can probably guess from the name alone, it features plenty of hand to hand combat and ridiculous dismemberment physics, all spiced up with a hearty dosage of fireballs and magical explosions.

Mirage is still currently in its early stages, but if you would like to have your voice heard throughout the development process you'll be happy to know that the closed alpha test will begin in September. Before we move on to the whole sign up process, its probably for the best if you check out a relatively recent gameplay trailer in order to get a good idea of what Mirage: Arcane Warfare is really all about:
