If playing a strange version of football with rocket-powered acrobatic cars just isn't exciting enough to you anymore, you'll be happy to hear that a new update has raised the stakes even further - by putting the action underwater! Or as normal people would say it: the all-new AquaDome Arena has been added to all Playlists, for free.
Besides the new arena, the V1.24 patch has also brought with it two DLC Battle-Cars, a whole bunch of cosmetic items, and naturally, some bug fixes to round everything out. You can read all about the new cosmetics and achievements over at the Rocket League website, but for now here are all of the changes that will affect the actual gameplay:

Anno 2025, Blue Byte's futuristic citybuilder/management sim, has just received its final expansion - Frontiers. Given the rather descriptive name it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Frontiers brings with it three brand new regions to explore and conquer: the tiny and widly spread Madrigal Islands, the frosty and inhospitable Savik Province, and the lush forests of the Greentide Archipelago.
What you might not so easily guess from the title, however, is that Frontiers brings with it one more massive addition into Anno 2025 - Synthetics. This combination of man and machine will present players with a rather unique challenge given how many resources are needed for their 'construction', but should you manage to master the process you will be rewarded with an extremely efficient workforce - the likes of which the world has never seen before!
And speaking of seeing, if you're wondering what all of this might look like in terms of gameplay, here's the recently posted launch trailer:

While Overwatch's weekly brawls are mostly a waste of space, the ones in Hearthstone are often so well put together its not uncommon for me to spend more time brawling around than playing the 'actual' game. If you enjoy these custom game modes as much as I do, you'll be happy to hear that Heroes of the Storm is soon getting its own variant of the Tavern Brawl - Heroes Brawl!
Much like its Hearthstone cousin, the Heroes Brawl will bring with it a unique twist on the standard gameplay, and more than a healthy serving of madness to boot! If you're wondering how much madness is simply too much madness, perhaps the recently posted trailer will help answer that question. And if not, at least all of the artwork is really pretty! Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location may be getting delayed due to its overwhelmingly dark story

Horror games, more so than any other genre of gaming, exist to push the player to their emotional limits. They are often graphically violent, feature unsettling and morbid themes, and the best examples of the genre use the player's own imagination as the catalyst for all of the horror.
Given that the whole point of the exercise is to scare the living daylight out of the players, both physically and mentally, you would think that there is no such thing as "too scary" or "too dark", but it appears that Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon has managed to cross that line. According to his most recent announcement the upcoming Sister Location game might be getting postponed as it features a plot so dark it sometime makes him sick - and I'd imagine that doesn't come easy given that this is the man that made his fortune with animatronic abominations.

If you were hoping to get even more playtime out of Endless Legend, Amplitude's 4X turn-based strategy, you'll most likely be delighted to hear that a brand new expansion is just around the corner. The aptly named Tempest expansion brings with it the Morgawr, a race of demonic beasts that have risen from the abyssal depths, as well as naval warfare, a weather system, and a whole bunch of other seafaring features.
Since the Morgawr are most certainly the highlight of the entire Tempest expansion, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that they have recently received their very own trailer. If you were hoping to get an idea of what sort of gameplay mechanics the Morgawr will bring with them, I'm afraid you're out of luck, but if you're interested in the lore behind Endless Legend you'll most likely leave with a smile on your face. As you can probably guess from the title alone, the protagonist in Vampyr is a vampire himself. And since we will be controlling a supernatural being gifted with amazing strength, agility, and an entire assortment of special abilities - it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Vampyr will feature plenty of combat.
While the presence of combat was well known since the early announcements, what no one knew exactly is how the combat will be handled... until recently. In a blog post over at the Playstation website Dontnod's Game Director Philip Moreau has taken the time to describe not only how the combat will work, but also the consequences of engaging in a constant bloodbath:

While face orientated Shaman decks will continue to be powerful until Totem Golem and Tunnel Trogg rotate out of the Standard format next year, these newly released changes should still help significantly slow down the pace of the game. I doubt this is going to result in a sudden resurgence of control decks, but it will go a long way towards making the ladder at least a slightly less aggressive place.
Besides the couple of changes that target Shaman directly, this update has also brought with it a slight nerf to Warriors, Zoo Warlocks, Hunters, and most importantly, the end of Yogg-Saron's reign of terror! Here are the full patch notes:

If you're a fan of stealth and subterfuge then today is your lucky day! Not only has Bethesda just recently posted a lengthy preview of Dishonored 2's Clockwork Mansion done as sneakily as possible, Ubisoft has also decided to do a similar thing with the upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands.
While the Ghost Recon Wildlands video doesn't contain any clockwork soldiers, it does feature a heavily armed encampment and a whole slew of sneaky tactics the developers have employed in order to breach its defenses. If you were wondering what the stealth gameplay in Wildlands is going to be like, here you go:

Stardew Valley is one of my favorite games released this year, and with the recent appearance of Update 1.1 it has become even better! There are now five farms to choose from, each one focusing on a certain aspect of gameplay, as well as a whole bunch of new items, buildings, events, and relationships to enjoy.
You can find the full (and extremely long) patch notes by heading over here, but if you're just interested in the short version I'd recommend you watch the recently posted trailer. It should get you up to speed on all of the big features, while the rest you'll be able to figure out yourself through a few hours of gameplay. Have a look:

With Dishonored 2's November 11th release date just around the proverbial corner, we're now finally getting a detailed look at all of the new stealth mechanics, tools, and abilities. And unlike the previous few gameplay videos, the presenter isn't take the easy way out by simply slicing and dicing through hordes of hapless guards!
As you can probably guess from the title alone, the latest Dishonored 2 gameplay video is a short and sneaky trip through the Clockwork Mansion - an absolute marvel of science, though with more than a fair share of madness to it. If you're interested in finding out what the Low Chaos playthrough in Dishonored 2 is going to look like, this is the video for you. Have a gander:
